🍻 A proper boozer 🍻

Cracking pint of Murphy’s Stout… at the Red Lion on Stow Hill in Newport.

Great atmosphere. A good old fashioned traditional boozer with fantastically priced drinks. Well worth a visit.

Did you know the pub can trace its roots back to at least 1848 near the start of Queen Victoria’s reign as monarch. It originally operated as a busy coach house. During the mid-19th century, it was a vital stopping point where coachmen and travelers would regularly visit to rest and drink traditional ales.
