Something wicked this way comes....to Bridge Street! 🧟‍♂️

Bridge Street Ale House is getting Spooky. Tonight is our Halloween Party Halloween at Bridge Street Ale House! 🎃

Dust off the fake blood 💉, dig out your most questionable costume 💄and prepare for a night of boos, booze and bad decisions. Heh! 😱

Were expecting ghosts 👻, witches 🧙‍♀️, vampires 🧛‍♂️ and at least one person whos just comes as themselves (....thats the scariest costume of all....😨).

Come for one. Stay until you are haunting the place! 👻

Fancy Dress highly encouraged. Don't forget we have a best dressed competition!
8pm ish start. Grum time.
Games and snacks available.

It's Friday!

It's the Annual CAMRA awards!

Grum is heading to the annual CAMRA awards, Seb was volun-told to attend also, look how happy he is to be going 😆

While we await the results, why not celebrate in style with our lovely selection of Ales, C***rs and Rum!

While we get into the Spooky Spirit for our annual Halloween Party (Like Seb) why not pop down to get a sneak peak at our Halloween decorations 😮

It's nearly that time folks, All Hallows Eve is almost upon us! 🎃👻

This Saturday we'll be hosting a fun filled evening (as usual!) with a few Halloween twists (not so usual!).

All of the staff will be dressing up for your amusement (and in Grums case abuse), but wait - there's more!

We've got competitions for best couples costumes AND individual costume - 1st Place Winners get a Drinks Voucher worth £50 dontcherknow. 🍻

There's also a few games for those that wish to join in, such as "Make The Mummy Drink" (you'll have to come and find out if you want to know 😉).

It's going to be an absolute corker, and we can't wait to see you there!

I've been away for a couple of weeks. Got back last week. Finally caught up. Well, nearly! I've been a bit quiet on here. I'm gonna fix that.

News Update!

First off the town NUL bid held awards for the town businesses and people. I'm very proud to say we were in the top 3 for pub of the year! Big congratulations to Mellards Bar who took home the top spot. Kudos.
This Friday also at Mellards, is the CAMRA awards. I'll be there with my fingers crossed at 4:30ish.
Saturday. No, not Tizwas day. Soz. But Halloween at Bridge Street Ale House. Bingo Boy (and his carer) have been behind the scenes decorating the pub and planning stuff & things. It's gonna be awesome.
Next Friday is Harvest Festival @ Bridge Street Ale House it's shaping up to be great.
And I'm considering a couple of w**e & cheese nights this side of Xmas. I'll post on that separately.

We've a spooktacular Halloween week coming up at the Alehouse! 🎃🎃🎃
On Monday evening, Mojo will be hosting our lovely Irish folk folks from 8pm. On Tuesday from 8 ish, Papa Grumbles is celebrating his triumphal return home from his 587th holiday of the year, by hosting the Bridge Street quiz, (possibly the best quiz in Castle!) The specialist round this week is.. ta daa.. Airport Codes.. don't ask!! 🤣
On Friday afternoon, we're attending the CAMRA Potteries awards ceremony at Mellards Bar. We're very excited, and we're hoping that we might have won something! 🤞🍀
And on Saturday, the spookiest spookfest that is our annual Halloween 👻 🎃 party. Haydn and Sarah have been feverishly decorating the pub, and it's looking absolutely terrifying! 👻
There will be lots of alcohol and party games, an interesting combination at the best of times!
Fancy dress is encouraged, Grum and Sebidee are both dressing up, bets are currently being taken as to what!
The Decaffeinated one is on the bar this afternoon, she is serving The Wizard by Merlin's brewery, the wonderful Wotcha Treacle by Front Row, and the sublime Scarborough Fair from Wold Top. Caff is looking forward to supping all of the above, especially the Young's Special that's coming on later on in the week! ❤️

Grum is back off his latest holiday🌴 and he has grand plans for the next few months starting off with:
