The Fox and Crown Pub and Bottleshop, which stands on the site on which were two shops, is the Castle Rock resurrection of the previously closed down Fox & Crown. This re-opening marked the return of Tynemill to Newark, where the company was born 36 years ago. The pub has been open now for 19 years, offering excellent service in a friendly and comfortable environment. We offer up to ten cask ales,
three craft ales and four lagers as well as traditional cider and stout. Our craft fridges are full of bottles and cans of craft beer from across the world. We always include Vegan Ales on our bar, which are clearly marked. We also serve hot beverages with our coffee being sourced from Stewarts at Trent Bridge.. Newark on Trent has a very good market on Wednesday and Saturday and we are open from 10.30am everyday to accommodate visitors and locals alike. If you are visiting the Palace Theatre, we are a 2 minute walk from the theatre and so are handy for pre-drinks, interval drinks and after-drinks. The Fox and Crown is situated less than a minute’s walk from the National Civil War Centre, (opened in 2015) and therefore makes a great place for food and refreshment to visitors of the centre from near and far.
