WORLD CUP BEER - Game Day IPA officially available from today!

A beer for the summer of ’26. This is it – English and US hops - our World Cup cask IPA - could this be the recipe that brings back the FIFA Trophy to where it all began? Smoothly bittered in the traditional Flower Pots style, full of bold fruity apricoty flavours with a balanced abv at 4.2%. A really beautiful suntanned coloured ale for the beautiful game.

Memories of previous World Cups come flooding back - where were you in ’66 (they think it’s all over), ’86 (Hand of God), ’90 (Nessun dorma), ’98 (Owen wonder goal), ’06 (Golden generation), ’10 (Germany again!), ’18 (Semis), ’22 (Final) – can we go one further?

Our pre-booked Flower Pots deliveries are now available, as early as tomorrow, for fresh cask ale delivered direct to your door. A range of sizes are available with no delivery fee. PUB OF THE YEAR 2026 - staff and customers were recently joined by South Hampshire CAMRA Members to celebrate receiving the Pub of The Year 2026 award for South Hampshire.

Landlord of four years Simon Osborne said : "We're so chuffed with the award, it's been quite a humbling experience all round. "They judged our community, beer, atmosphere and facilities and we came out on top and that is thanks to our fantastic community who started as strangers but have all become firm friends. A massive shout out to the customers, but also our friendly team.

"We're not trying to be something we're not. We have our brilliant beer brewed just a hop, skip and jump away and locally sourced food at sensible prices."

Managing director Rupert Boissier oversees operations at the award-winning Flower Pots brewery 50 yards away which is currently undergoing an upgrade. It will allow the business to expand while continuing to keep a low profile on the site, at the edge of the South Downs National Park.

Rupert added: "The expansion will allow us to be more efficient and for both businesses to thrive. The brewery would not be here without the pub and the pub acts as tap room for the brewery."

"We're incredibly proud of the award for the pub, it's been a real team effort."

Finalist pubs, which also included Bottle & Stoat in Bedford Place, The Guide Dog in Bevois Valley and The Park Inn in Shirley, were visited by four volunteer judges, who assessed them against CAMRA's national Pub of the Year scoring criteria.

Dog Show Details for the New Alresford Arlebury “BARK” Family Fun Day

Our Fun Dog Show is always one of the highlights of the day and we’re looking forward to welcoming lots of wonderful dogs (and their owners!) to Arlebury Park on Sunday 5th July from 11am–4pm.

Whether your dog is full of personality, has the wiggliest tail, knows an impressive trick, or simply has the most adorable eyes, there’s a class for everyone to enjoy.

Classes begin at 11am:

• Puppy (6–12 months)
• Most Handsome Dog
• Prettiest Bitch
• Best Child Handler (12 years & under)
• Veteran (7 years & older)
• Happiest Waggy Tail
• Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home
• Most Character
• Best Trick
• Most Adoring Eyes

Best in Show will be judged at approximately 4pm by Danny Chambers, with prizes for all class winners.

Entries are £2 per class, with online booking available from early June.

Scurry and agility activities will also be running throughout the day, alongside all the fantastic family entertainment, food, drink and stalls already announced.

It promises to be a brilliant community day out for dog lovers and families alike, and we look forward to seeing you there.

PETERSFIELD PUB 7's. The Flower Pots Brewery is proud to support Petersfield Rugby Club as shirt sponsor of their team entry into the Petersfield Pub 7's tournament 2026.

The Petersfield Pub 7s is back, and this time it is going to be the biggest yet. Now in its 30th year, the tournament returns to Penns Place on Sunday 3rd May. Since it began in 1995, it has always been built on the same foundations. Local pubs, good rugby, and a day that brings people together at the club.

32 teams. 6 men’s and women’s competitions. 1 unforgettable day. Everyone is welcome to an action packed day with food and drink available from the clubhouse.
