PADIS - Pendle & District Irish Society PADIS is a welcoming organisation that provides live Irish music and culture in the Pendle area.

Objectives of the Pendle and District Irish society.
1) To promote Irish music and culture in the Pendle area.
2) To represent the Irish community in Pendle and work for it's well-being, culturally, socially and economically.
3) To join with other Irish communities in Britain to further our aims.

Well yesterday the Ranting Lads came, played, sang and ranted and PADIS had a great time. Adrian brought back memories as he sang three songs accompanied by the lads. Christine the birthday girl was surprised with a birthday cake courtesy of Anne and received a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. Thank you to Mine Host Denis and the club. Thank you for all the donated raffle prizes it's so appreciated. Thank you to all who attended making it a great afternoon. ☘️

It's confirmed. On Sunday 7th February 2027 PADIS will celebrate 30 years of friendship, fun, music, dancing, holidays, memories and mischief!
The venue, Nelson Golf Club, Kings Causeway Brierfield. Food dancing, live music, it's going to be an amazing afternoon. So note your diaries. Full details will follow. 😄

Walking with a purpose. I aim to walk up Pendle Hill, down the Northumberland coast and do several circuits of Towneley Park to hit my targets to raise money for research money to combat cancer. I am doing this in memory of a dear friend, Chris Brennan, who cancer took from us just over two years ago. He was an example of how to raise money for a very good cause with a smile. May he Rest In Peace.

Newsflash!
On Sunday 7th February 2027 it is proposed to celebrate PADIS 30th birthday with a carvery lunch at Nelson Golf Club on Kings Causeway Brierfield. (Remember our 25th- it was amazing)
Delicious food, live music and dancing with time to reminisce about our experiences in beautiful surroundings. We would like your thoughts about this special anniversary. Over to you. ☘️
