What an experience our first Muker Show Day at the Farmers Arms was!

The rain may have made an appearance but it certainly didn't dampen anyone's mood - spirits were high and the atmosphere was buzzing all day long.

It was wonderful to experience Muker Silver Band in all their glory, what a way to start the day!

Thank you Muker Village Store & Teashop for emergency coffee and oranges and for keeping us fuelled with your Chocolate and Orm's Øl Døkkr Ale cake - goodness, it was tasty!

A big thank you to Chris at Orm's Øl for your help with setting up our outside bar! It ran like a dream!

Thank you so much to everyone who visited us and supported us on the day. We hope you had a great time!

And last but certainly not least, a huge thank you to our phenomenal team that worked tirelessly on the day and in the lead up, both front of house and behind the scenes - Cody, Dibs, Faith, Jasmine, Joey, Mario, Matthew, Michelle, Nicky, and Toby. We could not do this without you! Sadly I didn't manage to get photo's of all the team (although some will be happy to hear that!) as it got a little busy. I'll get you next year 😉

Food Serving Times:
🍴 Lunch: 12pm – 2:30pm

🍴 Dinner: 5:30pm – 8:30pm

We hear the sun is popping his head out just in time for the last Bank Holiday of the summer 🌞🍻

Well, this is rather extraordinary.

The World Beer Awards 2026 results are in and our Døkkr has been named:

🏆 WORLD’S BEST OATMEAL STOUT🥇 England Country Winner🥇 Gold

And the rest of the little Ormside team didn't disgrace themselves either…

🥈 Bitr — Silver🥉 Gullhyrndr — Bronze, Taste🥉 Gullhyrndr — Bronze, Design

We brew on a farm in a tiny Cumbrian village, in an old brewhouse beside Ormside Hall. We make the sort of beer we like drinking — proper cask beer, plenty of malt, and not everything needs half a field of hops thrown at it.

Apparently the judges rather like it too.

A huge thank you to everyone who drinks it, sells it, bottles it, serves it, and has supported Orm’s Øl.
