The Fountain Hotel and public bar was originally built in the 17C as a Coaching Inn and is situated in the busy market town of Hawes, which itself is situated in the centre of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Today and for the last 25 years the hotel has been owned by Angus and Mandy McCarthy who, as well as running the hotel, have also brought up two children, Kim and Henry. Here we provide a popular 'local' bar and also very popular with visitors. We also provide good, wholesome cooking by the way of our bar menu serving a traditional Sunday roast each week. LIVE sports play a big part in the 'pub' atmosphere, with SKY SPORTS, showing all premier football, rugby league and darts. Private functions also play a big part at the Fountain ranging from bands and disco's to weddings, private dinners and exhibitions. The Fountain also boasts 11 bedrooms all en-suite and serves a traditional English Breakfast each morning included in the price of accomodation. There is also a large function room at the rear of the hotel which, with prior arrangement, can seat up to 80 people for a function as well as private parties and weddings.
