Football, the beautiful game. To many anyway! We are definitely not the main sporting venue in town, but we will be showing must of the games during the World Cup. We’re not hardcore enough to show the ones in the middle of the night though!!! This Wednesday, the game will be on and we will be providing chips and bread and butter for our customers to make chip butties. They will be in the bar and first come first served. All we ask for is a donation which we will collect over the weeks and donate to the local first responders. Thanks.

Evening everyone. I’m posting to let you all know to few changes to our normal service this weekend coming. As our head chef is heading to sunnier climes, and a few of our staff have other commitments, we won’t be running our normal evening service on the Friday or Saturday night, with some slight adjustments to the lunchtime menu. However, do not despair! Here at the George we value our customers immensely and do not want to leave you hungry, so keep an eye on socials to see what we have planned!!

Meet Frank the wire-haired Dachshund. A dog very close to my heart. He belongs to my parents and has been a part of the family for twelve years now. An old gentleman with a gentle soul. After surgery on his back a few years ago he now walks slowly and with a hop of his back legs. Life is more leisurely now and a gentle stroll around the church green is ample exercise for this old chap. A lover of all things food, big long naps and his humans, but not so much other dogs he doesn’t know. This boy deserves all the adulation. Good boy Frank!

Meet Freya and Astrid. Two totally adorable girls who came for lunch with their humans yesterday.
Freya is a 13 week, brindle blue Staffy pup with a melt your heart face and temperament to match! She loves cuddles, walks, playing, tearing up tissues and her mate Astrid to name but a few. At such a young age, she dislikes absolutely nothing!
Astrid is a four year old Staffy X with the most beautiful temperament. She sings with excitement when you fuss her! She loves chews, walks, zoomies and of course lots of fuss. She dislikes/likes too much, cats and squirrels!!! 🤭🤣
