It was an absolute pleasure to host the wonderful runners and team from Severn Hospice here at The Huntsman as they celebrated raising an incredible £61,000 from this year’s TCS London Marathon.
Hearing the stories behind why so many people took on the challenge was truly moving. So many ran in memory of loved ones, pushing themselves through months of training, dedication and determination to support such an important local cause.
We know just how much charities like Severn Hospice mean to families across Shropshire, and it was lovely to be able to host such an inspiring group of people after such an amazing achievement.
A huge congratulations to every single runner and everyone involved in supporting them along the way. What you have achieved is nothing short of incredible.

Our incredible TCS London Marathon runners got together last week and presented us with a cheque for more than £61,000!!!!
Their superb training plans, dedication and commitment saw them cross the finishing line in April and we couldn't be more grateful to them.
They spent hours pounding the streets, facing their fears and never, ever giving up - all to support our care.
They ran in memory of their loved ones and what a wonderful way to remember them. We know they would be as proud of them as we are
