We love a Sunday roast at Polly’s Social, and there’s a bit more to the beef on your plate than you might know.
Our local farmer Andy collects the spent grain from the brewery twice a week to feed his cows. Those same cattle provide the beef we serve here, alongside big Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and plenty of gravy.
Andy and his wife Cheryl also run Agri-cation, a community interest company in Wrexham. They do brilliant work bringing people together through farming, helping people build skills and confidence, supporting those looking for work and welcoming schools to learn about agriculture. There’s a lot going on beyond looking after the cattle, and we’re proud to have that connection with them.
The cows are extremely well looked after, and both our brewery and Social teams regularly visit the farm. You’ll even spot them in the montage videos playing on the screens around the Social next time you’re in.
