This one made us a little bit emotional, so we thought we’d hand over to Fleur to explain why her 5 year anniversary holiday meant so much 💛

“Honestly, the world’s biggest thank you.

In a way it’s felt quite cheeky that I’ve had this holiday because I know I don’t work at C&C anymore, so I really hope you know how grateful we all are, especially Amelie.

We haven’t been able to take Amélie away for nearly 10 years because it costs thousands just to rent the oxygen and arrange the insurance.

She’s been counting down the days and signing ‘plane’ ever since we booked the holiday.
I think we all take hopping on a plane for granted, especially me 🤣, but seeing how appreciative Amélie has been to be here has been so special for all of us.

Thank you so much for making this happen and giving us the opportunity to make such special memories.”

Fleur might not be part of the day-to-day team anymore, but after five years at CnC, she’ll always be a big part of our story.

We’re just so happy we could help make this one happen for you all 💛

Five years at CnC called for something pretty special 💛

For Martin’s 5 year anniversary, he’s been off making memories on an Italian adventure with his wife Karen and son Connor, with stops including Rome, Venice and Florence 🇮🇹

It’s always lovely seeing where our team choose to go with their anniversary holiday, and even nicer knowing it’s given them the chance to switch off, explore somewhere new and enjoy some proper family time together.

Martin, we hope you’ve had the best trip, eaten very well, seen everything you wanted to see and made loads of brilliant memories along the way.

A very well deserved 5 year celebration, thank you for all your support! 💛

We shouldn’t bite, we shouldn’t respond, we actually shouldn’t care BUT…we do care! That’s the point!

We sent a heartfelt message only this morning expressing our gratitude to the organisers and to express our gratitude to seeing how not only one community but two have come together to not just have a good time but SUPPORT LOCAL INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES…

It was a great example of people coming together and having a fun time…”coming together” the key thing here and something that we’re sure most would agree is needed right now…

This example for us only highlights why yesterdays examples are important, why supporting your local businesses, why leaving positive reviews are so important to help us and them survive…

Kathy, please help us understand what you are trying to achieve!? - do you want us closed? Why Kathy?

You’re not the first and you won’t be the last and we have got more resilient over the years as the reality is we feel sorry for some as it’s just sad…simply…very sad but your review yesterday (on top of your one in March) is like a kick in the stomach, why Kathy?

So here’s the thing…had a good time with us yesterday, had a good time in the other independent businesses…take 2 mins to leave us and them a review, trust us it goes a long way! 🙏

What a day. And a really special one at that 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who came out yesterday, not just to see us, but to support so many brilliant independent bars across Boothstown and Tyldesley.

We also want to give a very special shoutout to Ian and Hayden at For Tyldesley, who put so much work into organising the Indie Bar Booze Cruise and creating something that genuinely brought our communities together 👏

There was such a lovely feeling around the whole day. People discovering new places, supporting local businesses, meeting new faces and just enjoying being out together. We welcomed so many first-time guests through our doors too, and we really hope it won’t be your last visit.

There was a real sense of togetherness and positivity everywhere you went... amazing what a few gins can do 🤣🍸

Events like this are such a good reminder of what can happen when local independents and communities get behind one another.

Thank you to everyone involved. We feel very lucky to be part of it 💛

Join us for a special evening of gin, food and a behind-the-scenes look at how Boothstown Gin all comes together.

Starting at 7pm, you’ll be welcomed with a G&T before we settle in for a tasting and a little dive into the history behind Boothstown Gin.

Then we’ll take you through the distilling process, show you how it’s done and, most importantly, give you the chance to make your own gin.

You’ll be served food throughout the night, with a selection of pizza, salads and small plates, plus time to taste, compare and chat through the gins you’ve created.
