A little bit about Adlia and why we are raising money.
Adlia at 15 years old, is such a character. Funny. Full of life. Super passionate about music, art and theatre school. Loves her family and amazing circle of friends.
In June this year, she began to feel unwell. It was then, that life took an unexpected and devastating turn. A scan showed large mass in her chest. After weeks in hospital and many tests, Adlia was diagnosed with a Thymoma. An extremely rare case of cancer normally only seen in people over 40.
Under the care of numerous hospitals, she underwent open surgery in August to remove the tumour. We hoped of course, that surgery would bring this to an end.
It, the tumour turned out to be more aggressive than first thought and spread. Making it stage 3 Cancer.
Adlia will shortly start Proton Beam Therapy. Almost 6 continuous weeks of intensive treatment.
Normal life completely put on hold.

Luke on Tuesday 29th September is doing a 42 mile challenge on the Blackwater. Walking, Cycling and kayaking the 42 miles.
