🐻 The Great Langley Bear Escape 🐻

Twenty-three bears have slipped away,
And wandered off at break of day.
They’ve hidden well with cheeky flair,
So keep your eyes peeled—they could be anywhere!

Nine were spotted, so we’re told,
Near Lavender Fields, brave and bold.
Off C**k Hall Lane they crept with care,
Leaving little clues that they’re still there.

Another eleven have roamed about,
Langley Road without a doubt.
Along the Main Road they were seen,
Popping up where least expected they’d been.

That leaves three still on the run,
Waiting to be found for fun!
So grab your map and take a look,
Search every corner, path and nook.

Good luck, hunters, young and old,
There are bears to find and stories to be told.

Happy hunting, enjoy the chase—

We painted beautiful peonies 🌸 and it was fantastic to see everyone’s artwork come to life. No two paintings were the same, and every single one reflected the creativity and personality of its artist.

A special thank you to Dr Chris O’Leary for mixing some wonderful cocktails that made the evening even more enjoyable. 🍸🍹

One bear has actually escaped from Langley village and has been seen in Higher Sutton and another Bear seen on the Main Road can’t remember his name 🧸🐻

🍺 To the FIREFIGHTERS who helped tackle the Macclesfield Forest fire; A Pint on Us 🍺

Without our beautiful forest, our village simply wouldn’t be the same. It brings visitors from far and wide, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who worked so hard to protect it.

As a small token of our appreciation, a few local residents have put some pints behind the bar at The St Dunstan.

If you were one of the firefighters involved, simply show your Fire & Rescue Service ID at the bar this weekend and enjoy a pint/drink on us. (Hopefully now you’re off duty!)

Thank you for your dedication, bravery, and for helping keep our forest – and our community – safe. 🍻❤️
