Set in a beautifully obscure 114 year old Grade 2 listed building exists Long Eatons very own Micro Pub. The building was designed by Messrs Gorman & Ross in 1903 for 'Midland Counties District Bank' (The same architects who in time would also designed Long Eaton Carnegie Library). It continued as a bank until the mid 1920's where a little of it's history has been 'lost in the ether'. Best guess h

as the venue becoming a Soda Parlour/Cafe in the mid 50's and probably better known as the Rendezvous Cafe from the 1970's up until 2014. The building has undergone a major restoration from that point as many of the original features hidden behind false walls and hung ceilings. The venue still boasts its original oak panelling and fire places. As well as the stained glass in the vestibule and the original ornate arched window. It also has the original door surround where the vault door would lock into, now the entrance to the gentleman's toilets. Best way to appreciate it is to pop in for a pint or wander in for a wine, sit down, relax and watch the world go by for a while.
