The Britannia The Britannia is run by Brendan and Deirdre Cluskey, formerly of the Angel, Old Street. Welcome to the Britannia Tavern. Located in the historic parish of St.

Lukes, the site has been a home to a traditional English pub dating back to 1842, with the current building constructed in 1939. It is located a short distance from the famous Ironmonger Row Turkish Baths, a grade-two listed building constructed in 1931. If you’re tired of the uniformity of faceless chain pubs, the hustle and bustle of Old Street and want a unique, traditional experience, then Brendan, Deirdre and their team at The Britannia look forward to welcoming you into the best kept Secret in EC1
