We just want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone for the incredible support on last night’s post. The messages, shares, comments and support for our small business honestly mean the world to us ❤️

We’ve now been contacted by our newly elected councillor who is looking into the matter and trying to help resolve the situation. We’re hopeful this can lead to better support and protection for small businesses from the police moving forward.

Tonight, this family ate at our restaurant and then left without paying for their meal. Unfortunately, after reporting it, we were told there is very little the police can do as it’s considered a civil matter.

We’re sharing this to make other local restaurants aware and to ask fellow businesses to stay vigilant.

We are a small family-run restaurant, and situations like this genuinely hurt us. Every unpaid bill impacts our staff, our business, and our ability to keep doing what we love.

Please support your local independent restaurants — most of us are working incredibly hard just to stay afloat. ❤️
