Black Dog-goers should expect plenty of real ales on rotation, World lagers including Brooklyn from New York and pub food that's homemade and not too pricey. The Black Dog, formerly part of The Lavender Pub Chain has recently received a generous facelift positioning it at the front of the South London pub scene with new energy, friendly charm and a particular edgy vibe. Housed in a former glass factory The Black Dog (original Victorian name) can accommodate 200 including 80 diners and there is additional outside seating for approximately 60. Open 7 days a week, food is served from 8am breakfast through to 9pm with a daily changing menu offering bold, confident seasonal food at pub prices.

Thanksgiving is coming to Vauxhall’s neighbourhood pub Thursday 26th November 🦃🍂

Two courses £35 or three courses £39, with all the trimmings you’d hope for.

To start, cosy up with New England clam chowder, buttermilk fried chicken bites with hot honey, skillet cornbread with maple bacon butter & pimento cheese, or roast beetroot with whipped goat’s cheese & candied pecans.

Then it’s The Full Thanksgiving: roast turkey breast & confit leg, sage & onion stuffing, buttery mash, green bean casserole with crispy onions, candied sweet potato with toasted marshmallow, cranberry sauce and proper gravy. Fancy something different? Our butternut squash & sage pot pie with a flaky pastry lid has your name on it.

Save room for spiced pumpkin sticky toffee pudding with warm bourbon & maple toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream. Trust us on this one.

Grab your people, pull up a chair and give thanks over a pint 🍻
