A lovely review left on Goggle 😊

Came to this pub after hearing great things, and it absolutely lived up to expectations! Established back in 1840, this is such a genuine, local‑community‑run traditional British pub. The atmosphere is warm and authentic.

As international visitors, we were eager to experience real British Sunday‑roast culture. This meal really restores my faith in British food — British cuisine can be incredibly delicious! Our beef Sunday roast was fantastic, with crispy Yorkshire pudding, tender meat and rich gravy. Everything tasted hearty and comforting.

Really lovely spot, would highly recommend to anyone wanting proper classic pub food.
