The Social Crisp World Cup Draw results are in!

See the entire crisp lineup and group selections below. Each group will be available to buy as a tasting tray at the bar and compete for one week!

We kick off next week from Monday, doors open at 5pm. Get in early and enjoy some of the world’s greatest crisps (and beers!).

We’re opening up voting to everyone and anyone who wants to take part. If you can’t make it in, we encourage you to get hold of the crisps yourself and vote from the comfort of your sofa! (🔗 in bio)

Crisp profits are in support of War Child, so if you are voting from home please consider donating some money to the charity. Cheers all.

This is a sad day for all at The Social. One of the pillars of the venue is leaving his place behind the bar after being the main dude for a decade.

started here as Assistant Manager in 2016, took over as General Manager a few years after and helped lead us through our Save the Social campaign, the Covid shutdown, the rebuild and relaunch of the place in 2021. He’s been at the heart of the bar’s story, the life and soul of it all. Quite simply one of the nicest blokes ever, his commitment to maintaining vibes at the Social are unmatched. Loved by his staff team and all the punters alike, Graeme is a huge part of what the Social means as a space now. When he joined he understood the mission, what the place stood for, and then through his leadership, style, thoughtfulness and commitment made it even better, always with music at its heart. He makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable, he’s unflappable, funny as f**k and just a joy to hang out with as a mate.

I know he is going to miss the place but not nearly as much as we’ll miss him. We wish him all the love and happiness and extending that to his lovely wife Emma and their newborn twin daughters too. Love you all. Graeme’s leaving do will be at the Social Street Party on Saturday 20 June, his final shift and 15 hour send off.

The search starts now for the next General Manager of The Social, big shoes to fill but we are excited for what the future brings. This is a chance for someone new to come in, bring their own unique energy to the venue, be part of the Social story and take us forward into next ten years Xx

This year we have decided to host our own alternate competition to run alongside our football world cup coverage here on Little Portland Street. I wager it will be way more exciting than the actual football and all profits are going to War Child.

The Social Crisp World Cup 2026 (!!) will feature 16 competing countries, each represented by the best crisp they have to offer.  Britain’s representatives England and Scotland will be up against some of the world’s great crisp countries, as well as countries that are underrepresented in snack world.

The Social Crisp World Cup 2026 will not feature Fifa or any of their peace prizes. Wherever possible, it will not feature any Walkers crisps or related products from around the world (Walkers’ own World Cup crisps on sale in supermarkets - taste, sadly average).

Instead, there will be loads of teams from the world cup represented by independent crisp manufacturers who truly bring the game home for their country - from Australia’s Samboy BBQ Blast to Scotland’s Haggis and Black Pepper from Taylor’s, Iran’s Kish Salt and Vinegar to France’s Brets Honey and Mustard, South Korea’s Honey and Butter Orion Chips or Spain’s Torres Iberico Ham, we will host the only world cup that actually matters. The one that goes with whatever you’re drinking, whenever you fancy a pint.

The Social Crisp World Cup begins on 8 June and runs throughout the tournament. Join us for four weeks of heats, followed by semis and a final playoff. Your votes decide the winner! Join the link in our bio to find out more 🏆

Always our best Saturday of the summer, now in the third year, THE SOCIAL SOLSTICE STREET PARTY 2026!! Join us on Little Portland St with DJs, stalls and bars out front from midday, bands in the basement, absolutely solid gold vibes guaranteed from start to finish and then at 8pm we shift inside for a special afterparty hosted by FUZZ aka Jamie Reynolds and FC Kahuna.
