🍸DRINK OF THE WEEK - Amaretto Sour

Born in the 1970s, the Amaretto Sour brought Italian almond liqueur into the mainstream cocktail scene, mixing sweet, nutty amaretto with fresh lemon juice. The original recipes leaned pretty heavily on the sweet stuff, but bartenders later got creative with bourbon, fresh citrus and egg white.

A proper bar classic, with just enough sour to keep the sweet in check. You love it, we love it. 🥃🍒

It’s a classic this week and one of our faves - the espresso martini.

The creation of legendary bartender and cocktail craftsman Dick Bradsell, who sadly passed in 2016. We were lucky enough to have a ‘micro-documentary’ filmed with his daughter Bea Bradsell in the venue last year - link to the full video in bio!
