Urban Pubs and Bars was formed by ex Realpubs founders Nick Pring and Malcolm Heap in 2014. UPB has ambitious growth plans having acquired its first 5 sites in its first 10 months of operating. The formula remains largely the same - recruiting exceptional operators who are passionate about food and drink and acquiring the best sites in a given area. Success is then finding the right offer and investing in the right areas. Investing time and attention into the team that operate those sites is a major part of that investment. UPB plans to replicate the family culture that it created within Realpubs, harnessing the skills and expertise of its General Managers to evolve and expand the business. With the right team on board we anticipate a rapid expansion programme, exploring new areas and new styles of operating format to meet the growing London market.

A Fleet Street Gin Palace with over 90 gins behind the bar 🍸
 
Punch Tavern was named in the 1840s after the magazine whose writers drank here, and it’s still one of the most beautiful pubs in London. Etched glass, high ceilings and a room that’s seen nearly two centuries of Fleet Street.
 
True to its Gin Palace roots, we pour over 90 gins, alongside rotating London cask ale and a draught range from across the continent. In the kitchen, it’s pub classics done properly: homemade pies, proper fish and chips, and the humble Scotch egg.
 
Whether it’s a pint after work, a long lunch in the dining room, or a private event in our upstairs space, Punch is always worth the walk down Fleet Street.

On the corner in East Finchley, The Bald Faced Stag has everything a proper local should 🍻

The Stag brings together old and new: a dining room built for long lunches, seasonal British cooking, pub classics and a Sunday roast made with premium British meat.

And out the back, one of the best gardens in North London, with a mother tree standing proud in the middle of it and heaters that keep it open all year.

Ever wondered how much thought goes into the tomatoes on your plate? 🍅

Ours come from in the Arreton Valley, grown in the same rich soil for over 15 years. Old-school growing, a bit of modern know-how, and a genuine obsession with tomatoes tasting the way they should.

took us round on the day, and it's worth a watch just to see the scale of it.

That's one ingredient. We think about all of them like this. 🍅

Three teammates. Two brilliant organisations. One big challenge. 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Last week, Dan, Toby and Charlotte from our team took on the London Triathlon all in support of our partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. 💙

Together, we’re aiming to raise £250,000 to fully fund a bedroom in the new Children’s Cancer Centre, creating a safe, supportive space for children and their families during treatment.

Proud of our team for going the distance for a cause that truly matters. 👏
