🍂 AUTUMN & WINTER OPENING HOURS 🍂

As we head into the autumn and winter months, there are some exciting changes happening behind the scenes at the London Inn.

From today, our new autumn and winter opening hours will come into effect for both the bar and kitchen.

But that’s not all… 👀

Our new kitchen team is starting to take shape, bringing fresh ideas and plenty of enthusiasm for what’s ahead (we’re still looking for one more person to join the team too 👀)

A new menu will be arriving at the beginning of October, your firm favourites will be staying, along with the return of something we know many of you have really missed…

THE SPECIALS BOARD WILL BE BACK!

BAR HOURS:
Monday: 4pm–10pm
Tuesday: 4pm - 10pm
Wednesday: 12pm - 11pm
Thursday: 12pm–10pm
Friday & Saturday: 12pm–11pm
Sunday: 12pm–5pm

KITCHEN HOURS:
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 12pm–3pm | 5pm–8pm
Thursday: 12pm - 3pm | 5pm - 8pm
Friday: 12pm–9pm *
Saturday: 12pm - 9pm *
Sunday: 12pm–3pm

* Lunch menu served until 5pm, followed by our evening menu from 5pm.

There’s plenty to look forward to over the autumn and winter months - new things are coming, but at heart we’re still the same pub, with the same bar team and warm welcome you know.

We’re looking for a Sous Chef / Experienced Cook to join the team at The London Inn 🧑‍🍳

We’ve got an exciting few months ahead in the kitchen, with a new Head Chef bringing plenty of experience, enthusiasm and some great ideas for the winter months and beyond!

We’re not looking to change everything – it’s about building on what already works, keeping the consistency our customers know us for, and introducing some new ideas along the way.

So we’re now looking for the right person to work alongside our Head Chef and be part of the team going forward.

Whether you’re already an experienced Sous Chef or a good cook ready to take the next step, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re a friendly country pub on the edge of Bodmin Moor with a strong, consistent year-round trade and loyal local customer base. We’re around 7 miles from Liskeard and 9 miles from Bodmin, with easy access from both the A30 and A38.

You might already be an experienced Sous Chef, a Chef de Partie ready to step up, or a good Cook looking for more responsibility. Previous Sous Chef experience isn’t essential – our Head Chef is happy to train and develop the right person.

What we’re looking for:
• Professional kitchen experience
• Confident cooking fresh, quality food
• Positive, can-do attitude
• A genuine team player
• Reliable, hardworking and organised
• Someone who takes pride in consistency and high standards

The role includes:
• Working alongside and supporting the Head Chef
• Preparing and cooking fresh food
• Keeping prep and service running smoothly
• Taking responsibility for service when required
• Maintaining kitchen, hygiene and food safety standards
• Helping with stock control and reducing waste

Hours & benefits:
• Permanent, contracted position
• 30–40 contracted hours per week
• 5 days out of 7
• No split shifts
• Competitive pay depending on experience
• Staff meals and other perks
• Training and development
• Christmas Day & Boxing Day off every year

We’ve got raffle tickets for tomorrow’s carnival available to purchase behind the bar, and we’re also selling tickets for the Warleggan Young Farmers duck race on Sunday!

Not going to be here for either event? Not to worry as we’re taking contact details down so you’ll be contacted if you win 🤩

Carnival processions to start around 4pm and will go directly past the pub… so if you want one of the best views and a pint in hand then the pubs the place to be.

Did someone say theme night 👀

Thursday 10th September

Join us for the first of our Autumn & Winter Theme Night: an evening dedicated to great wine & delicious tapas.

From 7:00pm, our lovely wine supplier Helen will be joining us to offer complimentary samples from our current wine list and we'd love to hear your thoughts. Tell us which wines you'd love to see featured on our Winter Wine List, and which ones you think it's time to say goodbye to. Your feedback will help shape our seasonal selection, and who doesn't love free wine?

Our specially curated Tapas Menu will be released soon, but bookings are now open between 5:30pm and 8:00pm for those of you who just want to go for it!

Please note that our tapas menu will be the only menu available on the evening for adults. Our regular children's menu will also be running.

We are VERY busy this evening - fully booked after 7:30pm again, and also very busy in between so please do drop us a phone-call if you were planning on coming to the pub for some dinner as tables are now very limited.
