We Are Making A Film About Mark Fisher is coming to Leeds!

We are very pleased to be screening the film in Leeds, at the excellent Outlaws Yacht Club.

We Are Making A Film About Mark Fisher is a 65-minute cinematic experiment exploring the continuing relevance of the late theorist's ideas on capitalism, culture, and the future. Blending documentary, performance, and hauntological fiction, the film follows Parkins

— a time-slipped character - through ghostly landscapes and digital spaces, tracing Fisher's thought from the 1990s to our algorithmic present.
The film has generated a huge international following, touring to Italy, Peru, Norway, Spain, Mexico, Sweden, Romania, Ecuador, Australia, Ireland, USA and many more. At most of the screenings, mainly organised by grassroots social/political groups and independent cinemas, discussions happen bringing together people to talk about Fisher's work and the impact of late-stage capitalism and perma-crisis on their lives.

MAP Charity is an alternative education provider working with young people who are unable to access the mainstream school system.

Since 2007 they have delivered creative training for young people, alongside running a gallery space for art exhibitions and music events, and in 2023 they opened workspaces for creative businesses too.

All of this is delivered under one roof, nurturing the next generation of creative professionals and offering life changing opportunities to access professional pathways into the creative and music industries for young people.
