Those who know my background will understand why I feel so strongly about this.

I don’t often post about political issues, but this is one I simply can’t stay silent on.

PC Andrew Harper lost his life while serving and protecting the public. The possibility of those convicted over his death being released early is something I cannot support.

If you have a spare minute, I’d be really grateful if you could sign the petition to stop the early release from prison of PC Andrew Harper’s killers. Whether you agree with me or not, thank you for taking the time to read this.

🎸 TONIGHT – BREAKOUT LIVE FROM 8PM! 🎸

❤️ Another community event we’re proud to be hosting at The White Swan.

We believe a village pub should be more than just somewhere to enjoy a drink – it should be a place where people feel welcome, supported and connected.

We’re delighted to be opening our function room to Pawsitive Action Leeds CIC as they launch this new support group. If you think it could help someone you know, please take a moment to read their post below and help us spread the word by sharing it.

Join us for a new dog friendly social for those with PTSD/c-PTSD or DV trauma.

A peer support group facilitated by our specialist canine and disability practitioners who have lived experience of trauma.

A safe space to enjoy good company, chat and share some dog love.

This is a FREE group but we ask that you buy a drink or some food to support our amazing venue.

You don’t need to bring a dog but if you have a dog who is happy to be in a pub environment feel free to bring them along.

🎉 PAYDAY WEEKEND & LIVE MUSIC AT THE WHITE SWAN! 🎶

The last Friday of the month means it’s payday… so what better excuse for a great weekend at your local?

Due to a cancellation at another local venue caused by circumstances beyond their control, we’ve been lucky enough to secure Breakout Band, who’ll be playing LIVE & FREE at The White Swan this Friday 31st July from 8pm.

🍺 To celebrate Payday Weekend and Yorkshire Day, all our Yorkshire ales will be on Happy Hour from 5pm on Friday and throughout the weekend!

💛 What better way to celebrate Yorkshire Day than in a traditional Yorkshire pub, raising a glass to God’s Own County?

⚽ We’ll also have live sport on our screens throughout Saturday, before rounding off the weekend with our famous homemade Sunday Lunch, served 12pm–7pm on Sunday.

A cracking weekend awaits… great music, great Yorkshire ales, live sport and great food.
