University season is back in full swing, which means we’re recruiting again for a part-time cleaner for Saturday and Sunday mornings!

It takes roughly two hours each day to make this place sparkle and the hours can be flexible, providing it’s all ‘done and dusted’ by our opening time of 12pm.

It’s official, Sticky Toffee Pudding is IN THE BUILDING and it tastes absolutely divine… 🤤

Our Lamb Shank is proving extremely popular since it launched and we’ve had some great feedback on our new Vegan Burger and Vegetarian Pie, too. Have you tried them yet? It’s lovely to see so many of you tucking into our sharing Camembert as well!

The weather’s expected to be a little warmer this weekend, but we’ll believe it when we see it! So in the meantime, our fires will be lit, we’ll be rustling up our new Autumn / Winter Menu additions all day 12-3 & 4-8pm and our team is ready to welcome you inside. Come and get cosy with us!

🎶🎤 NEXT LIVE MUSIC SESSION! 🎤🎶

Keep your diary free for SATURDAY 3rd OCTOBER, because it’s our next instalment of live music here at The Arabian Horse 🥳

This time round we have the super talented acoustic duo, ‘FOUNDATIONS’ playing for us between 6-8pm. We thought the earlier time slot went down really well last month, so a 6pm start will give you all a chance to finish your Saturday afternoon antics and then head over to round off your night with some popular tunes! 🎶

It’s been a productive day here at The Arab and we’ve enjoyed every second! 🥳

💪 We’ve boshed out our first ever batch of Yorkies in preparation for Sunday Lunches, (we’re nearly there now, we promise! 🤣)

💪 We’ve taste-tested our New Vegetarian Cheese Pie and added it to our Regular Menu and our Pie Night offer on Thursdays 🥧

💪 We’ve improved our Vegan offering by adding a ‘Chickpea Smash’ to our Sandwich range at Lunch, as well as a Quorn ‘Buttermilk Chicken-Style Burger’ to our Main Courses.

🌟✨ EMPLOYEE(S) OF THE MONTH! ✨🌟

It was a tough call for August, so we thought we’d give TWO people the Employee of the Month prize! Our pub, our rules! 🤷‍♀️🤣🥳

Millie has been amazing in both our Coffee Shop and the Pub, constantly taking in new information, navigating different ways of working and she does it all with a smile on her face. She’s reliable, helpful, has such a lovely spirit and is a real asset to Team Arabian. Well done Millie!

Ashton has really stepped up to the plate for Team Arab recently, joining forces with our Chef to help food service run smoothly and learning all the ways of the kitchen, so that we can keep growing as a business. His natural charm and infectious nature make it pretty difficult not to love him and he’s really impressed us lately. Well done Ashton!

We think it’s important to recognise and reward hard work and effort, especially in this trade where people are often working long days and multiple jobs and we feel so lucky to have such a great team working alongside us.

Alex is there for moral support, of course. And he’s awesome too 👏

Blink and it’ll be that time already. So we thought we’d best get planning for Halloween!

We’re gearing up for a pretty full on day, with a kids party in the afternoon and a proper DJ for the Adults After-Party in the evening 🧑‍🎤

It’ll of course be fancy dress, with prizes for the best costumes, both for the kids and the adults! And all sorts of other shenanigans that you’d expect on the scariest night of the year! 👻

🌟NEW DISHES INCOMING!🌟

September calls for an Autumn / Winter Menu, and although we wouldn’t dream of changing our classics, we will be making a few tweaks to accommodate the new season!

Available as specials from tomorrow (Thursday 10th September) and eventually going on our New Menu, we have:

🍖 Lamb Shank with Horseradish Mash, Honey-Glazed Carrots and Tender Stem Broccoli

🍗 Chicken Schnitzel in Panko Breadcrumbs

🫕 Rosemary & Garlic-infused Baked Camembert with Crusty Bread

🥫 Soup of the Day with Crusty Bread - currently Butternut Squash, Chilli & Lime

We’re still looking into some gluten free pies and some more vegetarian & vegan options, so stay tuned for more developments! Our creamy garlic mushrooms might be making a comeback too🥳

Don’t forget it’s the launch of our Pie Night tomorrow, where you can treat yourself to a Pie Main Meal and a drink for only £15, between 5-8pm.

It felt sooooo good to showcase some Live Music here at The Arab tonight. The earlier time slot of 5-7pm seemed to do just the trick! Huge thanks to our wonderful community for showing up and supporting Owen; he was great, wasn’t he? Join us on every first Saturday of the month for more awesome live sessions.
