This lady has truly stolen everyone’s heart here at Salute ❤️

She joined our kitchen team shortly after arriving in the UK from Japan on a working visa, and from day one she has brought warmth, talent and kindness to our little Salute family.

Next week she heads home to Japan, and we honestly can’t put into words how much we are going to miss her. She is one of the most talented chefs we’ve ever worked with — but more importantly, she has a heart of gold.

She told us one of the things she loved most about the UK was experiencing Christmas and New Year here ✨

And her favourite English food? A proper Yorkshire roast! 🇬🇧
She’s even taking our Yorkshire pudding recipe back to Japan for her family to try 🥹

Thank you for everything you’ve brought to Salute.
You will always be part of our story and our family ❤️🇯🇵

Yesterday was such a special day at Salute… and such an emotional one too. I think the reality of it all is finally beginning to sink in. ❤️

The day started with a little cry alongside one of our lovely regular guests, as she shared so many beautiful memories of Salute over the years. She spoke about celebrating her dad’s 90th birthday with us, and all the family moments they’ve created here through the years.

We then had the pleasure of celebrating Jackie’s 80th birthday — and Jackie and her friends have chosen Salute for so many of their special celebrations over the years too. 🥂

It’s so heartwarming to hear the stories, memories and moments that have been made here at The White Swan over the last 22 years.

What makes Salute so special has never just been the food or the building… it’s the people, the laughter, the birthdays, anniversaries, friendships and family moments shared within these walls.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives and your memories. It truly means more than words can say. ❤️

I am certain the next few months will be an emotional rollercoaster of celebrating & reminiscing 22 yrs 💫 the restaurant that i call home xx
