We’re looking for a Cook / Chef to join our kitchen team here at The Royal Oak, Much Marcle.
We can be flexible with the number of hours for the right person, but the role will need to include evening and weekend shifts.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys cooking good, honest food, takes pride in what they do and works well as part of a small, friendly team.

✨ The role:
• Hours negotiable for the right person
• Evening & weekend availability essential
• Year-round position
• Working alongside our existing kitchen team
• Experience in a professional kitchen preferred

We’re a busy country pub serving classic dishes, seasonal specials and Sunday roasts, with a varied mix of food service and events throughout the year.
Whether you’re an experienced chef looking for a few regular shifts, or a cook wanting a more flexible role, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a bar, enjoys chatting to customers and can help keep things running smoothly during our busy evenings and weekends.

✨ Around 20 hours per week

Previous supervisory experience is a bonus, but we’re more interested in finding someone who is friendly, reliable, confident and genuinely enjoys hospitality.

As we head towards the busy Christmas period, we’re taking the opportunity to strengthen and expand our team for the year ahead — and we currently have three positions available at The Royal Oak, Much Marcle.

🍺 BAR SUPERVISOR
We’re looking for an experienced, confident and friendly person to help lead our bar team, keep service running smoothly and deliver the warm, welcoming experience our customers know and love.

👩‍🍳 PART-TIME COOK / CHEF
An opportunity for a cook or chef to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis. Experience is preferred, but we’re also looking for someone with a great attitude and a passion for good food.

🧹 WEEKEND HOUSEKEEPER
Saturday & Sunday housekeeping across our pub and letting accommodation. A great opportunity for someone reliable, organised and proud of their work.

🎄 These are permanent, year-round opportunities — we’re simply recruiting now because we’re getting busier and want to make sure we have the right team in place for Christmas and beyond.
