Just imagine... the pub being open on Tuesday evenings - popping in for a pint (or a glass of something lovely) and the kitchen serving up perfectly cooked, traditional crispy Beer Battered Fish and Chips (to eat in, or take away)...

Well, from next week, it will be!!!

We are very excited to announce, that from 16th June, The Oxford Arms will be opening it's doors every Tuesday evening for a fabulous Fish and Chips Night! 🐟🍿

Bar opening times: 5pm - 9pm
Kitchen opening times: 5.30pm - 8pm

In honour of Father’s Day, The Oxford Arms proudly presents the most Dad activity imaginable: Guess the number of screws in 'THE JAR'

A jar filled with screws. Many screws. Possibly too many screws. But how many? Because nothing says ‘I love you, Dad’ like staring at a jar of random hardware and pretending you know things.

It’s £2 a guess, and we’ve got some brilliant prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd closest guesses.

🏆 1st Place: A fantastic Beer and Ribs Night for a table of 4 at The Oxford Arms

Kirtlington Lamb Ale 2026 – what a day! 🐑🍻

The Oxford Arms was absolutely buzzing from start to finish, with a fantastic atmosphere. It was wonderful to welcome so many familiar faces, along with plenty of new ones, all coming together to celebrate this much-loved village tradition.

A huge thank you to Scott, Struan and the entire team, who worked tirelessly through what turned out to be an incredibly busy day. Your hard work, energy and good humour didn't go unnoticed!

Special thanks also, to the wonderfully talented Patrick Foley, whose amazing live music provided the perfect soundtrack to the afternoon and kept everyone entertained throughout 🎶

And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. We loved every minute of it and hope you did too.
