The Pheasant is a traditional country pub well know for its friendly atmosphere, excellent lakeland food and Jennings real ales. A warm welcome awaits all including families, dogs (in the bar area), bikes and muddy boots. Enjoy our real open fire in the winter or the rear heated beer garden in the summer! Our prices range from;
£3.75-£6.50 for Starters
£8.95-£14.95 for Mains

Located just off Crosthwaite roundabout along the A66, at the top of Crosthwaite Road. You can also get to us via a short walk through Fitz park or along Brundholme Road/ Briar Rigg (by the leisure pool). EXPERIENCED SHIFT LEADER REQUIRED:
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and responsible person to join our Front of House Management Team This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team through evening service, maintaining our standards, guiding less experienced staff and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Previous hospitality experience is essential. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a vibrant setting.
In addition to the hourly rate gratuity earnings are disbursed following every shift. These are regularly substantial.

Duties
* Responsible for leading a team during shifts
* Serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently to customers
* Take orders and handle card payments with precision
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
* Ensure all drinks are prepared in accordance with food safety standards
* Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere
* Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
* Adhere to licensing laws and responsible serving practices at all times
* Assist with setting up and clearing tables or seating areas when required
Skills
* Previous experience in hospitality or food service is mandatory
* Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
* Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
* Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
* Strong time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities
* Personable demeanour with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
