The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as and , hospitality communities like , and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.

Like, sign the petition and share this post – we need your support to reach a million signatures.

Please help support the hospitality industry with a Vat cut!
As the 3rd biggest employer in the uk with direct jobs of over 3 million and indirect supply chain of 3 million its very important.
Having supplied the hospitality trade for 35 years we have never seen it as tough – food inflation, utility increases, NI increase are having a massive impact at all levels.
This is the industry where most of us had our first job, and learned the ethos of work, we need this industry to survive.
A VAT reduction is the obvious answer and dare I say one in line with Europe – Ever wondered why your meal or accommodation in France or Germany seems better value?
10% Vat on hospitality in France, 7% in Germany – If we dropped to 10% in the uk in may just be the lifeline to save the industry that we need to survive!
If you care about your local pub, your favourite restaurant, your friends or family employed in the industry, or your chesse shop, butcher, farmer and of course wine merchant I urge you to sign the petition.
If hospitality goes, we go with it.
