https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/759116 Pleease sign, and pleease share, especially to any publican's/pubs you know. Personally we'd prefer the government to stop allowing electricity suppliers to charge businesses like ours, 10 times what they do a domestic property, but that would be silly wouldn't it!?!

Reduce VAT on hospitality to 10% to prevent closures & protect tax revenue. When venues close, HMRC loses 100% of its VAT, business rates, PAYE & corporation tax, reducing employment & supply chains. We believe a lower VAT rate would keep viable businesses trading, securing jobs & ongoing revenue.

Nearly there. 104 beetroot burgers made, 10 kilo pulled pork now resting in cider,10 kilo of chilli on the stove, and 10 kilo of bean chilli. Over 20 beers now racked and 12 boxes of cider. Tents are up, thanks to our fabulous volunteers. See you soon!

Tonight is our annual American Quiz, so our kitchen will only be taking orders from 5-6. The quiz itself is fully booked, others are still welcome, but standing room only, or our lovely beer garden of course. Sunday is our Petanque Mele; all welcome, but must be at pub for 12 noon registration. General menu will not be available, instead a bar-b-q of sausages, burgers and veggie burgers. (All meat provided by quality local butchers of-course, we don't do Bookers or Brake Brothers!)
