🍳 Spend hours cooking a roast, washing up, arguing over who's peeling the potatoes, and discovering someone has "forgotten" to buy gravy...

Good morning, you lovely bunch of professional weekend avoiders...

It's Saturday, the sun has decided to keep showing off, and apparently cooking at home is still a thing people voluntarily do. Strange behaviour, but we're here to help.

Our kitchen is open all the way through until 9pm today, serving our full menu, our specials board, and yes... the Greek Burger is still causing more excitement than it probably should. We knew it was good, but we didn't expect some of you to look at it like you'd found buried treasure.

Got little ones in tow? Our kiddies' main meals are still just 88p. That's probably less than the mystery toys they beg you for while you're trying to do the shopping.

If today's plan involves "just the one," we all know how that story ends... so why not start properly with Shots & Bombs for just £5, or cool off with our ice-cold bottles - 2 for £8. Hydration is important... apparently.

🌞 Good Morning from The Swan! 🌞

Firstly... apologies for our radio silence over the last couple of days. Before anyone starts a neighbourhood search party or reports us missing, we've simply been ridiculously busy. Apparently people keep insisting on coming in and enjoying themselves. Very inconsiderate when we're trying to write Facebook posts. 😏

Anyway... today's episode of "Reasons to Visit The Swan" includes:

🍔 Friday means our 2-for-1 Burger Deal! Buy two burgers and the cheapest one is absolutely free. It's basically financial advice at this point.

🍽️ Our brand new Specials Board has landed, so if you fancy something a little different, the chefs have been busy creating some cracking dishes.

👨‍🍳 Kitchen open NON-STOP from 12 noon until 9pm. That's right... no afternoon break today. The chefs have been informed they're allowed to blink, but only if it's quiet.

🥂 Large bottles of Spumanti - just £12! Assuming Carol hasn't hidden the cupboard key again because she's "saving them for a special occasion." Carol... every Friday is a special occasion.

🍻 And don't panic if you take your time... the bar is open until MIDNIGHT, giving you plenty of opportunity to stay hydrated. (It's basically health advice.)

🌞 GOOD MORNING FROM THE SWAN! 🌞

Well, the weather is still convinced we're somewhere on the Spanish Riviera. The only difference is instead of sun loungers, you've all claimed your favourite bar stools... and they're much comfier anyway.

So if cooking in your own kitchen sounds like far too much effort (or you've finally admitted your BBQ skills peaked at burning sausages), we've got you covered.

💷 2 main meals for just £15... because apparently eating shouldn't require a bank loan.
👧 Kids' main meals for only 88p... they're probably eating cheaper than you are, but let's not dwell on that.

Good morning, you glorious weekend survivors! 🍻

Firstly, a massive thank you to everyone who joined us over the weekend. We hope you all had a fantastic time and that the only lasting damage is to your bank balance and not your dignity... although judging by some of the dancing, that's probably wishful thinking. We also hope there aren't too many sore heads this morning. If there are, we've got food. It's basically medicine... probably.

The highlight of my weekend? Watching Luke Littler casually throw darts like he's playing on beginner mode. That average was absolutely ridiculous. The rest of us struggle to hit the board after two pints, and he's rewriting history. 🎯

The sun has clearly decided to make another appearance, because apparently sweating while walking to the car wasn't quite enough. Never fear though... we've got the important things covered.

Well, the weather has finally remembered that this is Britain. It's still warm, but at least it's no longer trying to roast everyone alive. Our kitchen team can now work without feeling like they've been entered into some sort of televised endurance challenge. They're absolutely devastated.

🌞 Good Morning from The Swan! 🌞

Well, that's it... the World Cup is over. Congratulations to Spain, worthy winners against a team that appeared to believe the rules of football were more of a "suggestion" than something to actually follow. ⚽👏

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the tournament. The atmosphere has been brilliant, the beer has flowed, and you've all done your bit to keep the kitchen staff wondering if they'd ever see daylight again.

Now comes the real challenge... removing all of Carol's football decorations. This could take several days, specialist equipment, and possibly counselling. Thoughts and prayers for those involved. 😬

The sun is still doing its best to turn your kitchens into industrial furnaces, so why put yourselves through that kind of trauma? Our kitchen is open straight through from 12 noon until 9pm, serving our full menu, specials and plenty of proper food at prices that won't require a second mortgage. We like to think we're doing our bit for the nation's survival... one meal at a time.

The drinks are cold (unlike Carol's sympathy if you spill one), and your favourite deal is back as always...
