A date for the diary...
The Comedy Bothy's December Showcase at The Tooth & Claw, Inverness!
Featuring the best line-up of highland-based comics, and headlined by none other than Highland Comedy superstar... MATT BLACK!
Aberdeen Fringe Festivals comedian of the year, finalist of the Dutch Barn Spirit Of Comedy Awards, and a regular at the Stand and Breakneck Comedy. He has also recently been a support act for Jim Smith. Matt has a homespun highland sensibility and the sharpest wit this side of the Moray Firth. 😂
MCing the event will be none other than the Highland Comedy scenes premier host... STEPHEN CLARK! Born in Glasgow, but now with his roots firmly planted up north, Stephen has gathered a stellar reputation for his crowd skills and affable humour. We are pretty damned stoked to have him!

As it will be the season of giving, this gig will be FREE ENTRY!

Doors open at 8pm! See you there. 😀

The Comedy Bothy has a very special treat for you this December...
Christmas is a very expensive time, so as a thank you for supporting us for almost TWELVE years... we would like to give you comedy fans out there a wee gift of a FREE show on December 4th. 😃
And what a show it will be. Our headliner is none other than highland comedy sensation MATT BLACK!
Matt is one of the hardest working comics out there. He was voted 2024 comedian of the year by the Aberdeen Fringe, he was a finalist in the Spirit Of Comedy Awards and he is a regular at the Stand Comedy Club in Edinburgh. He also co-organises Inverness Comedy Club, through which he brings quality stand-up shows to highland places that wouldn't get comedians visiting otherwise. There is literally nobody else who we would want to headline our wee show.

The evening will be hosted by STEPHEN CLARK.
Originally from Glasgow, Stephen has made his mark and his home here in the highlands. He is the Bothy's favourite and go-to host because he always brings warmth, cheek and charm to our stage!

Keep an eye out for other posts to find out who else will be on this kickass gig!

See you in December!

Inverness... We have a bit of a surprise for you!
The Comedy Bothy is pleased to announce a last-minute free show THIS Friday. Down at our wonderful home The Tooth & Claw, Inverness.

The night is hosted by this years breakout highland comic Scott Fraser. Scott has made a huge impression on the scene since he joined last year. A fun blend of energy, wry observations and provocative crowd interactions. He will be keeping the night going for your enjoyment.

Kieran Lochore and his ever faithful guitar will be closing the show. Featuring a few selections from his upcoming InverNess Fringe Festival show "Fae Orkney Tae Oblivion". A mini sneak preview to get folk in a fringe-y mood! 😀

Also on the bill are a bunch of Bothy favourites -

Our very own man Friday... Mike Hendry. A Bothy simply wouldn't be a Bothy without this awesome highland LEGEND! His unique mix of surreal stories and high energy always gets the crowd going.

Cathy Cash will be opening the show with her very own witty brand of home-spun cheer and cheek. We can't wait to hear what she has been up to.

Reactive newcomer Jimmy William will be making his second appearance on our stage. Jimmy is fast gaining a reputation in the highlands for his charm and banter onstage. See him here first folks!

And last but not ever least... Adam McLeod! If you've been to a Bothy gig, or indeed a highland gig in the past three years you will be well familiar with the sardonic maestro of no-holds-barred comedic excellence.

8pm doors. Show starts around 8:30pm.

See you there!
