I think we can squeeze a few more in... let me know ASAP please

Had a spare hour (in the rain) for dry stone walling for Friends of Park Gate... I think we should name it Hadrians wall or the great wall😬
It will be finished soon so if you want to learn a new skill and help create something that will outlive us all 🤞call down for the next session

This repair has been on my list for a while... I'm sure one of my neighbours will object 🤣

Just to clear a few things after this mornings vicous attacks from an anonymous person...
Scottys Bar and Bean has full (legitimate) planning and will be open in the next few weeks.

We will be a community hub as it was in Scissett but serving the highest quality coffee during the day and excellent over priced drinks in the evening 😉 and I'm lucky to be working with two of the genuinely best people you will ever meet (it makes up for my personality).

There will be pet supplies upstairs with all profits going to the community for raised beds, benches etc.

A Saturday non-profit farmers market.

We will run our own work experience program for local teenagers to create a much needed stepping stone into working life.

I will continue to give my spare time to community improvements where I can.

Thank you to everyone for your support ❤️

After paying Kirklees Planning another £309 to read the 2 paragraphs informing them where my bins and cameras are…
They have now given me a ‘target date’ of 11th Dec (that’s over 24 weeks for a change of use)
This will mean missing the Christmas lights switch on and most Christmas parties… someone seems intent on putting me out of business before I even start. 😡

Some more work to do on Shat's 'Little Hill' but 2 hours hard graft this morning... and what a difference 😊

- I've just paid £309 to tell planning where the bins and cameras are located 😡

I wasn’t going to make an announcement but obviously people have access to the internet…

The good news is that I have full planning for change of use from retail to retail with alcohol

However…

It is with 9 conditions (all of them as we were already doing) but we now have to submit more paperwork agreeing to those conditions and further payment before they actually give written permission to open… which could take another 3 months!

This year I'll be making my own Scotty's Bar Remembrance Day wreath... what better opportunity is there for businesses, organisations or individuals to pay respect while learning a new skill and still donating to the British Legion.

The question on everyone's mind... NO I've still not heard from Kirklees Planning 😡
I do have a little more space for my mirror addiction though if anyone has one spare 😉
