Today I’ve been working on a delicious winter sweet tart, which I think will be just perfect for a cosy gathering with family and friends.

This week I'll be making a classic and simple French viennoiserie: a buttery sugar brioche tart, perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.

There will also be an apple crumble loaf cake,
and I'll be preparing a special dessert that I'll reveal on Thursday or Friday morning. This will help cover any missing orders and make the most of any leftover desserts.

Don't miss our special Croque Monsieur, made with sourdough bread, ham, and a rich, cheesy béchamel sauce both inside and on top, because there's never enough béchamel! Finished with Comté cheese, simply bake for 25 minutes until beautifully golden and crisp.

Don't forget to pre-order your pizzas by Wednesday evening, and be sure to have a look at our bread menu too.

A little taste of Christmas at My Petit Choux! 🎄
Yesterday, I made this Christmas Brownie Wreath!
At 9 inches, it’s perfect for sharing and makes around 8/10 portions, depending on how generous you want to be! 😋
Of course, I had to save two portions for myself… and I can tell you, I absolutely loved it!
Sometimes, a pastry chef has to taste-test their own creations, right? 😉

Today, I had the pleasure of delivering a wedding cake for Emily and Rich. 🥰

Even after years of experience as a pastry chef, delivering a wedding cake is always stressful! 😅 Why? Honestly, I don't know! Maybe it's because you want everything to be absolutely perfect for such a special occasion.
But despite the stress, making a wedding cake is always a wonderful and rewarding experience. ❤️
Three tiers of semi-naked vanilla sponge, filled with Swiss meringue buttercream and homemade apricot jam, and decorated with macarons and flowers.

Emily and Rich, thank you so much for trusting me with a little part of your special day.
I wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and countless beautiful memories together.

This Week at My Petit Choux
