In 2009 Blackedge Brewery was founded born of Shaun and Wayne’s passion for good beer. 13 years on we have become a well-known award-winning microbrewery at the heart of the small independent brewing community in the North West. Located in Horwich on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, we have two Tap Rooms - The Brewery Bar above the brewery itself and The Brewery Tap in Westhoughton. Our dedication to excellence in brewing shines through in the beers we produce. Using only the finest natural ingredients, we use an expert blend of crushed malts, hops and yeasts to suit a variety of beer styles from light to dark, malty to hoppy, session beer to DIPA. The brewing methods we use are traditional but the beers we produce are hop-forward modern beers in cask, keg and cans. 🍻 TAPPED! IS BACK! 🍻

Wednesday 11th November | McLeod 9 x Black Edge Brewing Company

We’re keeping things local for our next TAPPED! evening, teaming up with Black Edge Brewing Company!

Did you know Black Edge actually takes its name from Blackrod and Edgworth? So this collaboration couldn’t be much closer to home!

We’ll be joined by owners Wayne and Shaun from Black Edge, who’ll be taking us through 8 different half pints, sharing the stories behind each b**r, how they’re brewed and the inspiration behind them.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a McLeod 9 evening without some food!

We’ll have specially created themed morsel platters available to enjoy throughout the evening. The menu is still being finalised, but each platter will take inspiration from the b**rs being showcased, bringing both sides of the collaboration together.

🍻 Evening starts at 7pm

🍺 8 half pints of Black Edge b**r

🕤 Finishing around 9:30pm

Had an absolutely awesome time pouring at Nestival this weekend 🎆🍻

Fired out so much b**r had to do an emergency restock on Sunday morning!

Cool the Engines 5% NEIPA, tropical fruity goodness backed with a spiky hoppiness from generous helpings of Citra, Mosaic, Cascade and Summit hops 🌿
