Hi everyone,

I really hopev that you are all coping with the heat and I am sure that I don't need to tell you to keep yourselves hydrated.

We have a lot coming up at the club for your entertainment so I wanted to bring you up to speed with the events planned for the coming weekends.

Saturday 27th June - KARAOKE & FOOTBAL - Yes we start the evening off earlier than normal with karaoke from 6.30pm and concluding at 9.30pm. Immediately following we will be screening England's final World Cup group game against Panama which kicks off at 10pm. Please note that given added on time and hydration breaks it is possible that the match may go on beyond midnight when we would normally have vacated the club. In this event members and guests will be permitted to stay until the match has finished. The bar will close at the normal time of 11.30pm.

Saturday 4th July - BIG BINGO NIGHT - Yes it's our wonderful bingo evening hosted by Andy. Get those dobbers at the ready and let's make this as great at the bingo earlier in June which produced a wonderful jackpot of £300. As usual there is a small buffet on offer to all players. This all kicks off from 8pm in the Jubilee Lounge.

Saturday 11th July - CARIBBEAN NIGHT - We have great pleasure in bringing to you our Caribbean Night to be held in the Centenary Lounge from 8pm. Come along and sample the amazing cuisine and music that these wonderful islands have ever produced. Tickets are available now from bar staff and are priced at £12.50 for members and £14.50 for guests. Loud shirts or dresses are essential and there is a prize for the best outfit. Get your tickets now to avoid disappointment.

Don’t forget we have the meat raffle and 100+ Ball drawer tomorrow at 2pm. In the case of the former we have a real quality selection of meat prizes supplied by James Harris butchers in Smallfield. Many thanks go to Marc for sourcing them.
You also get a chance to be a winner with our ‘Pick A Minute To Win It’ competition. Simply select the minute in which you believe the first goal of the match will be scored in the game between England and Ghana this coming Tuesday. Entry is only £1 per minute chosen. The match will be screened in large screen HD in the Jubilee Lounge with a 9pm kick off time.

Hi everyone.

Well what a cracking start to England's World Cup campaign last night with a fully deserved 4-2 victory over Croatia. There was a brilliant atmosphere in the club for the game and thanks to all who came along for their support.
Of course we ran our 'Pick A Minute To Win It' competition and many congratulations go to Ron Spencer for correctly predicting that the first goal of the game would be scored in the 12th minute.
He is now £52 better off!
The competition will be running again for England's next group game against Ghana on Tuesday (23rd). Entry is available now, just ask bar staff for your chance to enter and to be the winner this time around.
Again the game will be shown in large screen HD in the Jubilee Lounge with a kick off time of 9pm. Get yourselves along and let's create a similar atmosphere to that of last night.

The club is delighted to tell you about our up and coming Caribbean Night to be held in the Centenary Lounge from 8pm on Saturday 11th July.
We invite you to come along and sample the best in cuisine and music that these islands have to offer. Non members and guests may attend, simply call into the club and see bar staff to secure your place at this fantastic event. See the poster attached for details.
There is even a prize on offer for the loudest shirt so get raiding that wardrobe and get the 11th July in your diaries now. Grass skirts will be welcome, we will keep the goats locked away!

Hi everyone,

Well as many of you will be aware England kick off their World Cup campaign tonight against Croatia and as you would expect you will be able to watch the match in HD on our huge projector screen in the Jubilee Lounge. The kick off time is 9pm and so come along and cheer on the Three Lions. You can also enter our 'Pick A Minute To Win It' competition by predicting when you believe the first goal of the match will be scored.
The Poker Night in the Centenary Lounge will still be going ahead from 7.30pm. Please see Andy Lynch for available slots.

Hi everyone,

This is just a heads up for the end of the month karaoke on Saturday 27th. This month the karaoke will start from 6.30pm and will conclude at 9.30pm.
Immediately after we will be screening England's final World Cup group game against Panama with a kick off time of 10pm. Of course given added time and any stoppage there is the possibility that the match could finish beyond our normal closing time of midnight. In this event members will be permitted to stay until the final whistle is blown. I would stress that the bar will not remain open beyond its normal 11.30pm close.
Karaoke and football. What a combination!

Hi everyone.

Well today is our wonderful meat raffle and 100+ Ball Draw at 2pm. You can also be a winner by entering our ‘Pick A Minute To Win It’ competition. Simply predict the minute in which you believe the first goal of the match will be scored in England’s World Cup opening fixture against Croatia on Wednesday. Note the match will be screened in the club and has a 9pm kick off. It is £1 per minute chosen and the winner (or closest to it) will take the prize pot. Should the match remain goalless the prize pot will be rolled over to England’s next match.
Immediately following the meat raffle today will be Keith’s fun quiz. No prizes, just bragging rights with today’s subjects being TV Soaps & Sitcoms, Geography and Music.

Hi everyone,

This is just a reminder that you now have only 5 days to reserve your place at our fabulous Cheese and Wine Tasting evening to be held this Saturday (13th) from 8pm in the Centenary Lounge. You can do so now by booking with bar staff, it is £15 per person and your receipt is your ticket so reserve your place now to avoid disappointment.
The World Cup sweepstake organised by Brian is now full but you still have a chance to be a winner with our Pick A Minute To Win It competition. This competition will be held for each game that England play in, the first match against Croatia is on Wednesday 17th with a 9pm kick off and it will be televised in the club. All you have to do to enter is predict the minute in which you believe the first goal of the match will be scored by either team. The winner will take the prize pot. Should the match remain goalless then the pot will be rolled over to the next England game. Entry is available now behind the bar.
