Hi everyone,

This is just a reminder to get your diary dates in for events that are coming up at the club in the near future.
On Saturday (6th) of course we have our monthly BIG BINGO game so get yourselves along for your chance to be a winner. Don't forget the higher the attendance the higher the end of the night jackpot is. There will be the usual small buffet for all players and the fun starts at 8pm in the Jubilee Lounge.
On the following Saturday (13th) we have great pleasure in hosting our Cheese and Wine tasting evening to be held in the Centenary Lounge, also from 8pm. The cost for the the evening is £15 per person and you can reserve your place now with bar staff. Please retain your receipt as this will constitute your ticket. Due to the popularity of last years event we would recommend that you book your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
As well as our usual weekly meat raffle and 100+ Ball draw we are also running a World Cup sweepstake. It is £5 per team to enter, please see Brian for details.

Hi everyone.

Tonight we have great pleasure in bringing you our Open Mic Night from 8pm in the Jubilee Lounge to be hosted by our wonderful friend Steve Dennison. Unfortunately Steve is unable to perform tonight due to a broken wrist that is thankfully now on the mend and we appreciate him supplying the equipment for others to perform.
That is where you come in so please come along and jam away with your guitars or whatever other instrument you have.
The £1 weekday guest fee is not applicable to performers.

Hi everyone,

The club has great pleasure tonight in bringing you our monthly Karaoke Night from 7.30pm in the Jubilee Lounge to be hosted on this occasion by yours truly.
As you will be aware we use only high quality, professional sound equipment with cordless microphones together with a colossal selection of songs for you to choose from. Come and share your talent with us and be the star of the show.
The karaoke nights are very popular so we would recommend that you get in early to secure your seat and place in the singers queue.
Next Saturday (6th June) will be our brilliant BIG BINGO NIGHT, also in the Jubilee Lounge from 8pm so eyes down for a full house! There will be the usual small buffet for all players to get yourselves along for a fun night and your chance to be a winner, let's boost that end of evening jackpot.
For both the karaoke and the bingo your guests and non members are very welcome but will be subject to a £2 admission fee giving them full use of club facilities and drinks at member prices.

This is just a reminder that as it is bank holiday today the club will be open from the normal time of 10.30am but will be closed at 7pm. There is no kitchen service today.

Following on from the hugely successful Cheese and Wine tasting evening last year we are delighted to tell you that we have another one coming up on Saturday 13th June from 8pm in the Centenary Lounge.
The admittance is £15 per head for the evening and this must be paid at the time of booking your place. You can reserve your place now with the bar staff and your receipt will act as your ticket.

Hi everyone.

Tonight in the Jubilee Lounge from 8pm we have Nick's Music Quiz. Come and put your pop music knowledge to the test with this fun quiz. There is nothing on modern charts at all with all questions based on music from the 60's to the 80's.
It is only £2 to enter per player with teams of up to 6 people, The winning team will take the prize pot.
Signed on non members are very welcome but there will be a £2 admission fee but of course they will get their drinks at member prices.
Tomorrow we get quizzical again with Keith's Fun Quiz which will follow the meat raffle.

Hi everyone,

This is just a heads up to what we have going on at the club over the weekend.
Tonight we have our 60's and 70's Disco from 7.30pm in the Jubilee Lounge. Get those dancing shoes out of the cupboard, come along and boogie to the super sounds that defined and influenced much of what we hear today.
From the early 60's rock and roll / pop scene to the disco sounds of the 70's we will be bringing you the best that this fantastic era had to offer. Get in early to reserve your seat and place on the dancefloor.
Tomorrow of course is our meat raffle and 100+ Ball Draw from 2pm. This weeks meat shop has been done by Marc so you can guarantee only the best local produce. Get those tickets now for your chance to be a winner and don't forget, buy £5 worth and you will get an extra strip of 5 numbers absolutely free..

Hi everyone,

I hope you have all had a great week.
Today we will be showing the Grand National from Aintree live at 4pm. Good luck to all who have entered Brian's sweepstake which is now fully subscribed.
Of course we have our 100+ Ball Draw and Meat Raffle from 2pm tomorrow and this will be followed by Keith's fun TV and Movie Quiz. It is totally free to enter with a maximum team of 4 players.
Don't forget that it is our AGM on Wednesday 29th and there is now a nominations sheet on the notice board should you wish to be considered for the committee. You will need to have been a continuous club member for 3 years to qualify. There is also a separate sheet for any notions that you wish to put forward for consideration at the AGM.

Good morning dear friends.

A Happy Easter to you all.

This is just a reminder that we have one BIG BUMPER MEAT RAFFLE today as well as the 100+ Ball Draw from 2pm.
Top prize in the meat raffle is 'The Lucky 7' and it is a complete roast dinner of a whole leg of lamb with all the trimmings to include mint sauce and stock. There are also beef and pork joints to be won plus a whole chicken and there are 14 prizes in all.
Don't forget if you buy £5 worth of tickets you will get an additional strip of 5 numbers absolutely free.
For you football fans we will be screening the FA Cup Quarter Final between West Ham and Leeds United later with a kick off time of 4.30pm.
