🏡 Would our village benefit from a little village shop?
We’ve been thinking about the idea of having a small village shop and would love to hear what everyone in the community thinks! ❤️
Do you feel there’s a need for one in our village? If so, what would you like to see it stock?
🥛 Everyday essentials
🍞 Fresh bread and milk
🥚 Local produce and eggs
🍫 Treats, snacks and drinks
🧻 Those last-minute bits you’ve run out of!
We’d really love to know what would be most useful to you and your family, and what would encourage you to shop locally.
We also want to be realistic and upfront: although we’d love to offer a convenient, friendly local shop, we wouldn’t be able to compete with supermarket prices. As a small village shop, our prices would reflect the cost of running a small business and ordering in smaller quantities. The aim would be to offer convenience, essentials and a friendly local service, rather than compete with the big supermarkets on price.
There’s no point in having a shop unless it’s something the community genuinely wants and would use, so your honest feedback would mean a lot to us!
