Why we’ve had to make these changes

Last financial year, the clubhouse made a loss of £14,653, which is around £280 every week. The committee has been monitoring this closely and has identified where the losses are coming from.

On a single match day we often take as much as, or more than, we do across three or four weeknights combined. Staying open for only a handful of people isn’t financially viable, and it would be irresponsible to carry on that way until the money runs out.

We know these changes won’t be popular, but they are about protecting the clubhouse for the future.

This is your club

The clubhouse belongs to its members, and its future depends on all of us. These hours are not set in stone: if support picks up, we’d be glad to open more often.

We’re already working to turn things around, including redecorating and modernising the clubhouse to make it a more welcoming place. But we can’t do it alone. Here’s how you can help:

Come along when we’re open, and bring family and friends.
Book the clubhouse for parties, celebrations and gatherings.
Lend a hand with bar shifts, decorating or running events.
Share your ideas for events, nights or anything else that would bring people through the door.

We welcome any ideas, help and support to reduce these losses. Please speak to a committee member.

Thank you for your continued support.

With the current change in staff we are finding our feet and sorting opening days and times, please bare with us during this transitional period as we sort new staff and learn the ropes.

We will be closed until Saturday and will have more information on opening days and times then.
We are looking to move the club forward in a more financially sustainable way to protect the future of the clubhouse. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding during this time.
