with an Asian-inspired glaze and sauce, finished with spring onion tops, fresh red chilli & coriander. 🌶️🌿

Sweet, savoury, sticky, fresh — and looking VERY promising. 🤤

Another successful Chef’s Table at The Spotted Dog. 👏

Last Friday, we welcomed another full table of guests for an evening built around great food, creativity and a lot of work behind the scenes.

Chef’s Table gives our kitchen team the opportunity to step beyond the everyday menu, experiment with ideas and create an experience from beginning to end and seeing a room full of guests applauding the team at the end of the evening makes all those hours of preparation worthwhile.

A huge congratulations to Chef Shaun, John and Jay, who put an incredible amount of work into bringing the evening together.

And, most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us. The support for these evenings has been wonderful, and we’re delighted to see Chef’s Table becoming such a special part of what we do at The Spotted Dog.

This time, Dom is putting together one of the snack dishes from our summer menu:

Garlic King Prawns
Confit garlic purée, smoked paprika, fresh dill & coriander. 🌿

Simple ingredients, big flavours and exactly the sort of dish made for ordering alongside a drink and sharing at the table… although we won’t judge if you keep them all to yourself. 👀😂

Black Pudding Sandwich
Black pudding, chorizo, fried duck egg, crispy capers & burnt apple purée. 🤤

Rich, savoury, crispy, runny, with a little sweetness from that burnt apple purée — there’s a lot going on between those slices. 👀

Great food starts with great ingredients, but it’s the people in the kitchen bringing them together that make the difference. 👏
