Today I locked the doors of The Half Moon for the very last time, and it’s hard to put into words how emotional that moment was.
Over the time that I’ve been here, this pub has become so much more than just a place of work. It became a home, a meeting place, and somewhere filled with laughter, friendships, celebrations and unforgettable memories.
I want to thank every single person who walked through those doors. Whether you came in every day, once a week, or just occasionally, you all played a part in making The Half Moon what it was. Thank you to everyone who supported us, attended our events, shared our posts, brought family and friends along, and stood by us until the very end.
The final weekend was everything I could have hoped for, and seeing so many familiar faces come together to give The Half Moon the send-off it deserved is something I’ll never forget.
Although it’s heartbreaking to say goodbye, I leave with nothing but gratitude and pride. It has been an absolute privilege to be part of such an incredible community, and I will always treasure the memories we’ve made together.
This may be the end of our time at The Half Moon, but the friendships, laughter and memories will stay with me forever.
