Your fireworks might be in your garden, but their impact can reach much further. The choices you make before, during and after your display can affect the people, animals and communities around you. Not everyone experiences fireworks the same way - they can cause fear, distress, and anxiety - so please think beyond your garden and know your impact.

It’s tonight 🎃👻

Don’t forget to have your pumpkins lit for 5pm for the letter trail

And hot dogs, hot chocolates and more will be available from the village hall. We look forward to seeing you all tonight. Have a spooky good time (and don’t be greedy!)

HALLOWEEN THIS SATURDAY 🎃

We look forward to seeing lots of you out and about for Halloween in Hemswell this weekend. We can see lots of decorations beginning to adorn houses already. A reminder of the festivities:

🌭 Hot Dogs and Hot Drinks served from the Village Hall from 5pm

🎃 A letter pumpkin trail around the village - find the hidden letters and make the spooky word. Submit your entry to the Village Hall to enter our competition to win a prize.

👻 Trick or treating at decorated houses around the village (please don't be greedy with treats; leave some for other children)

FINALLY - if you are free to help volunteer in the village hall to serve hot drinks and hot dogs, please do get in touch. We can not run these events without the help and support of others.

Please note that Beck Lane will be closed to walkers from around 09:30 am for a short while on Sunday 1st November for essential tree work. Please respect the signs and wait until the work is complete.
