🎃🏠 CALLING ALL HAUNTED HOUSES OF HELSBY! 🏠🎃
It's time to sign up for Helsby Trick or Treat Trail 2026! If your home is in the village and you welcome trick or treaters, why not get involved?
The trail is a map created by volunteers and provided free every year. The goal is to make trick or treating a safe and welcoming experience for local kids.
Houses that sign up can even win a prize by entering our competition - a £50 voucher either for The Hollies Farm Shop, The Cinema, Chester Zoo or M&S (no cash alternative), a treatbox from Til Death Bakery and of course, a £20 voucher from The Helsby Tap. 🍺
However, if you're not motivated by the prospect of riches, you don’t need to decorate to be listed on the trail map 👀
Businesses are welcome to join in too (not eligible for the prize but will be promoted throughout the trail!). If you have a creative idea for how you could contribute to the trail, we welcome all suggestions!
📸 This year’s competition: Create a Spooky Photo Op!
We recognise that committing to decorating your whole house outside for a contest can be expensive and time consuming, so this year we’re shaking it up a bit. The challenge is to create a spooky photo op for the kids & parents to take part in! This could be:
👻 A haunting backdrop
💀 A cut-out board
🧛 Spooky characters to pose with
🌙 Or anything you can think of!

Any children who wish to take part will be able to pick up a FREE Trail Passport from October onwards! We'll be sharing more information about how these will work, where to collect them and what they'll be used for very soon... 👀
