The Fox and Goose

The Fox and Goose We serve real ales from microbrewers, real ciders and craft lager on draught, bottled lagers, beers We are the first community owned pub in West Yorkshire.

At The Fox and Goose we believe in fairness which is why we only serve draught beer in lined oversize glasses. That way when you order a pint of beer you get a pint of liquid refreshment plus a creamy head. Most other pubs and bars serve a pint in a "brimful" glass so you don't get a full pint of beer.

It's a tough job but some has to get out and try the breweries from East Yorkshire.

We need more help in the Fox & Goose woodland on Sunday for a second go at the balsam. We're nearly there, so if you can spare an hour or two between 1030 and 130, we'd be super grateful and there's a pint in it for you. Wear trousers and long sleeves though 🪏

It's looking stunning in our garden and woodland thanks to the hard work of all our wonderful volunteers last Sunday. It's May Day / Beltane and International Workers Day - we'll raise a glass to all of those! The weather is glorious, the drinks are refreshing and the company is always good, so come and join us.

This is a post I never thought I'd be making, but it seems Black IPAs are like buses, and 3 crackers have come along at the same time.

First up is Trail Mix, a collaboration between 2 great breweries, Coley's Brewery and Weekend Project. It's actually one half of the collaboration, alongside a white IPA, made with 50% wheat.

I'm particularly looking forward to Pangoltergeist from Tartarus Beers. These guys really know how to pack flavour into a pint and I'm sure this will be no exception.

Finally we'll have I'm Not Spartacus, from dark and wonderful beers Torrside Brewing. It's a new take on their flagship IPA and I'm sure will be fabulous.

Welcome to Black IPA May.

Don't forget, this Sunday is your chance to volunteer and help us tidy up the garden and woodland. See you from 10.30am.
