We serve real ales from microbrewers, real ciders and craft lager on draught, bottled lagers, beers We are the first community owned pub in West Yorkshire.

At The Fox and Goose we believe in fairness which is why we only serve draught beer in lined oversize glasses. That way when you order a pint of beer you get a pint of liquid refreshment plus a creamy head. Most other pubs and bars serve a pint in a "brimful" glass so you don't get a full pint of beer.

It's been quite a week! Thank you to all of you who have helped us get back on our feet. Whether you scrubbed the place down, took stuff to the tip, repaired the building, bought a few pints over the weekend, gave your support on social media or just popped in to give us a hug, we are incredibly grateful. Mark Simmonds will be in conversation with Andrew Bibby, author of All Our Own Work, his ground-breaking book on the Nutclough Co-op. This worker-run co-operative textile mill operated successfully in our town for almost half a century.

This weekend we've got Square Peg playing mountain music and on Halloween I'm sure Last Night of the Lights will be suitably spooky.

We're very much back to normal today, but first I would like to thank everyone for their support and offers of help. Apologies if I haven't got back to you yet, I hope to catch up next week.

This afternoon we're launching Harvest B**r from Runaway Brewery which has been made with green hops from Manchester and Hertfordshire and raw honey collected from the hillside opposite the pub. Last time we did this the bee keepers emptied the cask in 3 hours so this year I got 2, so I'm sure there'll be enough for everyone.

We've plenty of other great b**rs hitting the pumps this afternoon / evening so pop down and help us clear the stock pile that has built up in the cellar whilst we were closed.
