This Sunday is the last Sunday of the month,

On the last Sunday of the month we host our grief cafe (bar) from 7pm onwards (people start to arrive at 6:30).

This group is for you to use if youve ever lost someone you love desperately,
You're welcome to tell us all about them (wether your relationship was great or strained),
Youre welcome to tell us about the nature of their passing,
Youre welcome to sit and listen to us if youre not ready to talk yet.

Basically, if youre looking for people that dont shy away from the tradgedies that underpin living, then come along.

We have people that have come to talk about the loss of a parent,
The loss of a partner,
The loss of a friend,
People that have come to talk about their divorce,
that have come to talk about their adoption
And many more expressions of grief beside.

It's a s**t club to find yourself in but it isnt a lonely one

Rammed full, cold as owt and containing pretty much every style you could ask for (pretty much).

The weekend is warm and the sun will shine throughout!!

We hadnt moved quick enough to sort out 4 packs of radlers (sozza) but we'll keep eyes on the weather in the coming weeks and make certain we dont miss again.

If youre of a ling lineage of Scots or Irish and this heat has done you already, the bar is breezy and bright with enough room to fit yas.

We'll open until 10pm tonight (Saturday)
And 12pm-9pm tomorrow (Sunday)

We're all going elsewhere on Monday so Sunday is your chance to fill your boots for any monday BBQ's.

It's FRIDAY, the good weather has finally decided to join us AND WE'VE GOT taking over the cask!!

From 6pm tonight we will be pouring
Pantheon 001 (oatmeal stout)
Pantheon 002 (Citra pale, like when Oakham invented craft beer)
Pantheon 003 (traditional English Bitter).

We've also got some of the last bottles in the brewery of mad barrel aged wonders.
We'll be pouring these by the port measure (75ml), whilst they last
so you can have a right wee selection!!

will also start to fill up our keg lines through the weekend with
The Garys (7.2% propper west coast pale),

Le Vie En Rose (propper farmhouse conditioned on raspberries),

Spon U.K (a 10 keg exclusive, celebrating JKs master blenders fave aged barrels all mixed together for puckering perfection. This is only in 10 kegs in the whole wide world, GET IT).

Doom Forge 8 (12% coffee, mega stout. No more to say).

It's bank Holiday, it's backwater Yorkshire and it's some of the best and rarest beers around to celebrate !!

We are creeping up on halfterm and the next bank holiday.

We're starting the celebrations this Friday (22nd) with...
Tartarus and Jester King popping up for takeovers on the cask lines and keg lines respectively!

On cask, from the innovators and mega ABV maestros...
Traditional?? YEP, TRAD TO ALL THAT'S HOLY!!
An oatmeal stout (no adjuncts)
A citra pale (not hazy)
An English Bitter (under 4%)
So this is the moment to find out how good Jack really is at the beer.
nothing aged, nothing added and nothing at a silly abv.

Fear not, we've got the last bottles in existance of some of their mad back catalogue. We'll be doing bottle pours of insanity to sate your thirst for their USP.

Cant wait!!

Spring is decidedly chilly so far,
I've only seen 5 goslings and no ducklings and it's almost June...

With that being said, the radiators are on and our interiors are cozy spots.

The rooms are warm but the beers are cold and the fridges are rammed full!!

Yo! Have a wee read if you've a group that needs a meet up space!!

We had a group intending to use the free space every Tuesday, unfortunately they're only able to fullfill that brief once a month,

What this means for you lovelies,
Every 1st, 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, our front room upstairs isnt in use!

It comfortably fits up to 20 people, we dint charge anything but we expect any attendees to buy drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) from the bar.

We are a female/gay owned buisness and expect anyone using the room to adhere to echr laws surrounding hate speech/human interaction (genuinely cant believe that needs to be said but after the month we've had there can be no doubt).

We currently have
Quiet writing and body doubling on a Wednesday
Stitchers and crafters on a Thursday
So wouldnt be looking for repeats.
A french conversational group meets every Thursday and a Welsh conversational group meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month (Thursdays AMIRITE?!)

We've just finished the Mango Mead on tso anf now we've moved on to the Prickly Pear,
We suggest it with a bit of ice and a dqueeze of fresh lime.

We're open 12pm-6pm (dont say you werent told).
