🍻 We don’t usually get involved in politics, but this one matters.

Pubs are about more than pints.

They’re where friendships are made, birthdays are celebrated, local groups meet, quiz teams compete, live music is enjoyed, and neighbours catch up after a long day.

Places like The Holly Bush help bring communities together.

The hospitality industry is calling for VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%, helping pubs, cafés and restaurants continue to invest in their teams, their venues and the communities they serve.

🍴 A little friendly reminder from Matt, Millie & The Holly Bush team 🍻

We love an impromptu pub visit as much as the next person. Fancy a pint after work? Pop in. Fancy sitting in the sunshine pretending British summer is reliable? Absolutely.

But if cooking sounds like far too much effort and you fancy joining us for food, please do book a table where you can.

We’re a small family run pub and planning ahead helps us keep things running smoothly, keep service flowing, and avoid those horrible moments where we have to say “sorry, we’re fully booked” or “sorry, there’s a bit of a wait”.

Trust us. We hate disappointing people far more than you hate hearing it.

With the warmer weather here and everyone making the most of it, we’re seeing busier days and evenings. A quick booking helps us make sure your table is ready, the kitchen team aren’t doing Olympic sprint training, and Matt doesn’t have to start stress-eating chips behind the bar.

Today’s opening hours update 🍻

As many of you know, The Holly Bush is run by a very small team and a close family behind the scenes. Today we’re all coming together to celebrate Millie’s baby shower with family and friends 💙🩷

Due to unexpected staffing issues, we’ll unfortunately be keeping the doors closed until 5pm today.

We very rarely do this, and we’re really sorry for the short notice inconvenience.

We’ll be back open from 5pm as normal and look forward to seeing you all later for the evening.
