Private dining at The Hawthorn…

Reservations are now open for 2027.

We are pleased to offer our customers exclusive use of our panelled Private Dining Room for bookings of between eight and twelve people. The room is full of beautiful period features and you have your own private entrance from the cobbled street with a small balcony.

The space is ideal for a celebratory meal, and we are happy for you to display decorations; there are side tables for gifts or a cake.

Rachel’s last day as General Manager is Sunday the 25th October.

As she won’t be around as much in her new role as Marketing Manager for both sites, we will be heading down the hill to at 5pm after our Sunday service.

Rachel has made many friends over the years and it would be lovely if you could join us for a toast to celebrate and thank Rachel for everything she has contributed so far.

After 5 years at The Hawthorn, Rachel has decided to step down as General Manager.

I cannot thank Rachel enough for her amazing contribution over the years.

Both The Hawthorn and The Old Post Office certainly wouldn’t be the places they are today without her expertise and warmth.

This is a photo of Rachel at our opening evening almost 10 years ago 😊 (thank you Mark Davis).

I am pleased to say she is not leaving the business and will continue the role of Marketing Manager across the two sites.

Her last day as GM will be Sunday the 25th October, please feel free to pop by and raise a glass with her beforehand.
