After 11 years of hard work, Sian and Simon have revitalised the Griffin into an award winning pub/restaurant specialising in seafood. With roaring log fires in the winter and eating out on the alfresco terrace in the summer enjoying the spectacular sea view whilst watching a selection of fresh seafood en route from the Haven straight to your plate a few hours later – there is quite simply no bett

er place to enjoy your locally caught seafood! Creating a family friendly village local and a welcome retreat for all who enjoy good conversation, food and drink. The deliberately informal atmosphere and fabulous friendly service only add to it, offering a memorable eating experience, that has won the Griffin many accolades. Local fishermen & suppliers make for a bursting seafood specials board to suit all. The Griffin offers a vast range of simple fresh seafood dishes from mackerel to turbot, razor clams to scallops, crab to lobster or other treasures the sea throws at us. In addition, the Griffin has a pub classic menu with an excellent choice of home-cooked locally sourced food to suit all tastes including vegetarian dishes and a children’s menu. The wine menu offers a fabulous selection of quality wines and The Griffin has also developed a reputation serving quality real welsh ales.

🦞 Lobster Arancini

“It’s so good, I could have had it for dessert.”

A genuine comment from one of our customers this week… and they’re not the first to say it or actually have it as a dessert!

Sweet local lobster from the bay folded through creamy risotto, rolled into crisp golden arancini and served with our rich seafood bisque.

It’s one of those dishes that has people talking long after the plates have been cleared.

Have you tried it yet?

There’s something pretty special about this stretch of coastline we get to call home. 🌊

My brother Alex Mathias Photography has captured it beautifully from above from the Griffin, along the coast to our family home, across to Marloes and beyond and it really shows just how lucky we are to live and work here.

The sea, the cliffs, the sunsets, the wildlife… it’s easy to take it for granted when you see it every day, but seeing it from this perspective reminds you how incredible this little corner of Pembrokeshire really is. 💙

So proud to share this and to call the Griffin part of it all. ✨

A very special memory for us here at the Griffin ❤️

A few years ago, whilst filming on Skomer Island, David Attenborough stayed with our family, and we were lucky enough to share time with him...moments we’ll always treasure.

He also kindly signed a book for Seb when he visited, which remains a very special keepsake.

Today, as he celebrates his 100th birthday, we’re reminded what a truly remarkable man he is; humble, inspiring and someone who has helped generations see the beauty of the natural world through different eyes.

Here’s to a lifetime of storytelling, conservation and inspiring wonder in us all ✨

Happy 100th Birthday Sir David 🎉

Some days at the Griffin just feel a little bit magical 🌈

A full rainbow stretched across the bay… and somehow it ended right here, bathing the pub in golden light ✨

If that’s not a sign to pop in, we don’t know what is.

Record-breaking puffins on our doorstep 🐦

Over 52,000 puffins have just been counted on Skomer Island, a new record and right here off our Pembrokeshire coast.

Just around the corner from us at The Griffin… and one more reason we love where we live 🌊

Front row seats to days like these…
Sunshine on the water, a bay full of life, and the energy of the Endurance Life Pembrokeshire Coastal Trail Series right outside our door.

Good luck to all the runners today...you picked a perfect one for it ☀️

It may only be April… but it’s giving full-on summer energy ☀️

Boats are back ⚓
Terrace is buzzing 🍽️
And the wall is already the best seat in the house 🍷

If this is the start, we can’t wait for what’s coming…

We’ve had an absolute oyster frenzy this Easter weekend… and you’ve completely wiped us out 🦪✨

A huge thank you to our friends at in Angle, Pembrokeshire — purveyors of some of the finest oysters we’ve ever had the pleasure of serving.

Grown right on the wild Atlantic edge of Wales, their oysters are shaped by powerful tides and pristine waters, giving them that unmistakable fresh, mineral-rich taste of the sea 🌊

Hand-grown with care and a real focus on sustainability, these oysters arrive to us just as nature intended — pure, clean and packed with flavour.

Safe to say… you loved them as much as we do — over 100 oysters flown out in just two days!

We’ll be getting more in as soon as we can...watch this space 👀
