The Manhattan Youth Pool Academy

Today was the 2nd ever youth county game for North Yorkshire playing against an ever dominant East Yorkshire side.

As we only have 1 team at the moment we played both of their A and B team. East Yorkshire getting off to a great start although we had some great chances and the frames were really close to going either way. East Yorkshire kicked on in the middle part of the game and what a team they have. We never gave up but they were just a little too strong for us. Final result NY 14-22 EY 🎱

Moving on to playing their B side and it was much of the same for East Yorkshire flying in to a 6-0 lead. They were certainly up for the game but our little superstars had other ideas. Clawing back the deficit frame by frame with some absolute class pool from both sides. Every youth is a credit to both counties and the etiquette of everyone was on point all the way through!

North Yorkshire brought it hooooome 19-17 for our first win of the season 🙌🙌 👏 👏 👏

A proud moment for me, for Christian, the parents and the youths for having the grit and determination to never give up and get behind your team even when things aren’t going your way. Absolutely incredible!!!

Thank you to all involved it really was a smooth running day and the atmosphere was perfection.

It was an Adult and youth day yesterday at the The Manhattan Youth Pool Academy which turned out really good and everyone enjoyed it.

Had a couple of youths missing due to illness but the ones that made it had a fantastic time.

The kids are coming on leaps and bounds in the last year and it is only getting stronger.

Still open to any youths so why not come down and test your skills and have some fun. It’s a place where the kids can “let their hair down” so to speak and feel they are part of an ever growing youth academy.

Really is great to see some of the talent that is coming through here in Harrogate.

Next session is 20th December, 10am-Noon.

The turnout in the last couple of weeks has been excellent. With a few new players it is getting stronger each week.

Hi Everyone,

Youth Academy is on every Saturday 10am-Noon.

We have a regular few turning up every week but we are also keen to have more new faces turn up.

If you want to come and test your ability, meet some new people and have some fun, Manhattan club is the place to be!

Sessions are usually £10 per session but if you are a new face to the academy it will be £5 per youth as a welcome.

A great session yesterday, lots of games including the old favourite Noughts and Crosses. This Saturday will be free of charge! So bring your friends along. Or anyone who wants to see what we do at the Academy, Saturday will be the perfect time.
