Due to feedback regarding the superleague format, the following changes have been made:
-Cat Values-
have now been altered to the following…
Cat 1&2- 3 points
Cat 3&4- 4 points
Cat 5- 5 points
Cat 6- 6 points
Cat 7&8- 7 points

-Substitutions-
Each team in the event of a player no longer being able to commit is allowed to make one substitution at any point during the season without charge. This change must meet the minimum point criteria and cannot be undone.
Any subsequent changes will be subject to review and potential further charge by the organising party dependant on circumstance.

Introducing for 2026 a new team format league at the club, below is all the information you need!
-Teams-
4 players per team, maximum one Cat 1 per team
Played to a minimum point value of 20 per team, player values as below…
Cat 1- 3pts
Cat 2&3- 4pts
Cat 4&5- 5pts
Cat 6- 6pts
Cat 7- 7pts
Cat 8- 8pts
Any unknown players with no cat/results history will be started on 5pts.
Cat ratings based on current club comps.

-Match Format-
4x Race to 5 singles/45 minute match clock
2x Race to 3 scotch doubles/30 minute match clock
30 second shot clock in operation, match clocks paused while racking.
One team provides a ref, one team provides a timer per session.
1 point per session won, all played in group stage
Tied games in knockouts to be decided by Captains pick Race to 5 singles

-League Format-
2 round Robin groups of 8 teams (based on 16 entries)
One month to play each fixture, organise between teams via a captains WhatsApp group
Group stage matches March-September
Knockout stages October-December
Top 4 from each group qualify for main playoffs
Bottom 4 qualify for Plate Knockout

-Entries and prize money-
£20 reg per player for the full season
Each entry must have: Team Captain &contact number for the WhatsApp group, and list of players.
Entries to be paid in full before 15/02/2026
Based on 16 teams the prize money breakdown would be…
Main Champions-£600
Main runners up-£400
Plate winners-£200
Season MVP-£80

-Table Hire-
50% table hire to be paid by losing team, or split if a tie.
E.g a maximum match length of 4 hours would be £14.40 between a team of 4 (£3.60 each)
