Hazy pale ale from Derbyshire’s Torrside brewery, combining East Coast hazy fruit flavours, with a West Coast hop punch of Apollo and Citra (Vegan)

Franken Spice (Brew York) 4.9%
Part of Brew York’s 2026 Halloween Series, inspired by the unforgettable characters of classic horror literature. A smooth pumpkin spiced stout with rich, roasted malt and warming seasonal spice

Bat Juice (Mighty Oak) 4.3%
Copper / Best Bitter with fruity, zesty, and pine aromas, hopped with First Gold for a slightly spicy finish

This week’s ales!

Whippet Good (Nightjar) 4.2%
We can’t pretend we didn’t initially choose this one for the name, but it’s got great, ahem, pedigree. Brewed with Yorkshire Grown, Traditionally Floor Malted Maris Otter Barley for a beautifully malty and biscuity base. A collaboration with the 'Fox and Goose Co-op pub' in Hebden Bridge, this is an excellent Yorkshire Bitter.

Isle of Rye (New River) 5.2%
Multi award-winning seasonal special deep amber Rye Pale Ale with aromas of orange and mango, full bodied malt flavours and a light peppery finish, from just up the road at Rye House.

Fit To Fly (Castle Rock Brewery x Loch Lomond Brewery) 4.1%
World famous Scottish teacakes re-imagined as a stout. Expect flavours of fluffy marshmallow, subtle biscuit and hints of glossy chocolate making this a perfect autumnal tipple.

All The World is Green (Pig & Porter) 4.8%
Green-hopped IPA from Kent. A full bodied, smooth drinking IPA with the typical resinous quality of a green hop b**r; notes of sweet fruits and a herbal, floral aroma. (Vegan)

Blind Poet (New River) 4.5%
An old favourite back on the bar - four malt varieties provide lightly smoked, liquorice and chocolatey flavours. A smooth, dark Porter. (Vegan)

Squidly Diddly (Northdown) 5.8%
Sadly one of the last casks from Margate’s Northdown brewery, but what a b**r this is! A heady hop hit of Galaxy and Citra bringing the super-surge of tropical fruit flavours backed up with a pithy zest backbone. New England yeast provides fruity esters and bags of wheat and oats bring that textbook softness and haze.

This week’s ales!

Hazy IPA (Kirkby Lonsdale) 4.1%
Hazy is the operative word here, however this is a really smooth, tasty b**r that’s subtly hopped rather than the full-on fruit flavours you might expect. If this isn’t your go-to style it’s definitely worth a try!

Explorer (Mighty Oak) 3.8%
A rich blonde Session b**r with heaps of columbus hops, refreshing and with a peppery finish.

Apparition (Pig & Porter) 4.4%
Pig & Porter (Tunbridge Wells) themselves describe this as “A very well made stout”, and we’re inclined to agree! Features a dry bitter first with notes of caramel, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and subtle cherry or dark-fruit cake.

This week’s ales!

Everytime (Bristol B**r Factory) 3.8%
We’ve been after this one for a while - after the success of their wonderful Champion B**r of Britain “Independence”, this is a sessionable West Coast IPA with subtle tropical and citrus notes.

Evolve (Mad Squirrel) 4.1%
A modern bitter, expertly hopped with Chinook, Harlequin, and Olicana. Its mahogany hue introduces an enticing blend of pine and citrus aromas.

Worker Bee (Thornbridge) 4.6%
This is a true tribute to the traditional Manchester Bitter, it’s sessionable, balanced and packed with character. Pouring a warm blonde, it opens with a light floral hop aroma. On the palate, the lighter malt provides a smooth, rounded backbone while the hop bitterness keeps the finish crisp and refreshing.

The Burntwood Bitter has gone so we’ve tapped another - Mighty Oak Saffron Gold - deep saffron gold in colour, brewed with Maris Otter Pale, Amber and Crystal malts with Goldings and Progress hops for a clean refreshing bitter after palate

Abyss (Neptune) 5% - Vegan
Triple oat stout from Neptune in Liverpool. Coffee and chocolate give a nice depth while the oats give a creaminess and smoothness to make this very drinkable indeed

Burntwood Bitter (Mighty Oak) 4%
The first b**r brewed by Mighty Oak, back as a special. Traditional bitter, absolutely delicious and flew out at yesterday’s Camra GBG launch. Get this while you can as it will sell out!

Summer Lightning (Hop Back) 5%
The original Summer ale, brewed all year round in Wiltshire. A classic and mainstay of b**r festivals for a reason, enjoy it in the sun before it turns cold again
